This role is onsite M-F at the Teledyne FLIR facility in Billerica, MA and is not a remote position. Local candidates given preference.
Responsible for generating and updating process documentation for the Manufacturing Operations group.
Responsible for monitoring mfg process, writing, editing and revising, layout and publishing of manufacturing documentation so that a single controlled revision is available in a read-only directory.
Review and revise technical information and ECO changes as necessary.
Create and release all newly transitioned product documentation including process docs, data sheets and build documents in manual as well as electronic format-such as VKS work instruction software for manufacturing.
Work with manufacturing team to help standardize and improve the documentation process.
Perform individual research, follow instructions and simplify and streamline complex information.
Generate process documentation to accommodate lean manufacturing work operations.
Certificate training or suitable experience in technical writing
Aptitude for understanding manufacturing assembly and test methods
Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, familiarity working within ERP and document managements systems, desktop publishing, Adobe, image capturing and editing software
