If so, we at Insulet Corporation want to work with you! We are a highly experienced user experience group tackling the world’s growing pediatric and adult diabetes problem space, designing the easy to use and life-changing OmniPod product and other related solutions.

Insulet Corporation, located in Billerica/Acton, MA, is seeking a superstar UX Technical Writer to join our growing team in the suburb of Boston (Billerica, MA). You will be working with A-players in User Experience Research and Design, creating the next generation digital experiences for children and adults managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements for our products.

  • Produce high-quality documentation specification documents that describe UI features and fundability to be used by engineers and quality testers.

  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text.

  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse, tone/voice consistency and single-sourcing opportunities.

  • Create and maintain the information architecture of our GUI specifications.

  • Be willing to help the team with other UX related tasks such as edit Sketch design files, update flow diagrams or test the product.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years with experience designing for mobile and high technology-centered companies; preferably the medical devices industry.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Visual Design, Graphics Design, HCI, Interaction Design or related discipline required.

  • Well-versed in common design tools such as Sketch App, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, MS Office, Visio, etc.

  • Solid visual and interaction design skills and interest to take on more responsibility in this area.

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Technical Skills

  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.

  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail, edge cases and unhappy paths within the user interface.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.

  • Excellent written skills in English.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

  • Working experience with UX design tools such as Sketch and Overflow
