Carrier Product Manager, API in Beverly, Massachusetts

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting market opportunities, including go-to-market strategy, as well as driving customer immersion, customer requirements, and overall product strategy, roadmap, and vision. You will partner closely with the development organization to deliver the product to market.

Your primary duties include:

  • Create bold visions and strategies for an API/Marketplace for IoT products, identifying forward-thinking opportunities

  • Establish and lead cases for change, visions, strategies, roadmaps, and business models

  • Deliver customer-data-centric strategies that drive revenue, conversion, engagement, and retention

  • Assess market segments of interest and analyze the competitive landscape.

  • Identifying problem statements and addressing that need in the market.

  • Assessing revenue and growth markets for products.

  • Build product roadmaps.

  • Work with customers to understand their needs and ensure strategies will be effective in the markets

  • Get consensus from leaders and stakeholders

  • Facilitate cross-business sharing of opportunities and best practices

  • Build and enhance important internal and external relationships

  • Define strategic opportunities for large-scale product partnerships/alliances with external/internal parties/vendors

  • Develops go-to-market strategies to take products from ideation to scale

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional work experience and 5 years of experience in Product Management

  • Experience building solutions on private and/or public cloud environments – AWS preferred

  • Understand 5 Key elements of IoT & Telematics

  • Having built out and commercially launched an API portal, a Marketplace is a plus

  • Previous experience in transportation & logistics is a plus (TMS, WMS, FMS)

  • Excellent program management skills to lead cross-functional teams

  • Thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in the area of expertise

  • Excellent communication skills in order to influence a wide range of audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Familiar with product lifecycle management, software development lifecycle

  • Understands and practices agile development philosophies – SCRUM, SAFe




  • Required:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of proven Project Management experience managing software and/or hardware engineering projects; Team management experience.

  • 5+ years experience with leadership and direction of co-located, remote, and nearshore/offshore teams

  • Knowledge of IoT, including sensors, connectivity, cloud, analytics, and user interfaces

  • Experience with Lean, Agile, iterative development, SAFe

  • Demonstrated experience in estimation and WBS development

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Travel up to 20% on an as-needed basis

  • Desirable:

  • Project management certification (PMI)

  • Effective communication with key stakeholders and influencing skills to gain alignment and support

  • A firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end alliance and project lifecycle

  • Proven experience releasing software and hardware products to market successfully

  • Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace

  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the alliance

  • Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders

  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.


  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements

  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards

  • Attend scheduled EH&S training alliance

  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans

  • Recommend improved EH&S practices
