Sensitech Inc. is focused on delivering supply chain visibility solutions that track, monitor and protect products for global leaders in the food, life sciences, consumer goods, and industrial markets. Our solutions are focused in three key areas: quality and compliance, and logistics performance management.
Sensitech is looking for a Product Director to lead the product strategy and development of its portfolio of products and solutions, which includes hardware, software (platforms and apps), analytics and services. Reporting directly to the Sensitech President, the products leader will play a pivotal role in the success and future of the business. They will work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, software development, finance, operations, professional services and other key business partners and senior management team in developing the overall product vision, development roadmaps, profitability targets and lifecycle plans (end-to-end – launch to sunset). The product leader will help deliver on key business objectives across financials (revenues and profitability growth), customer satisfaction, new product pipeline development, time-to-market, sustainability and return on investment of the Sensitech’s product and solutions portfolio.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Product Strategy Development
Develops products and solutions strategy, incorporating inputs based on Voice of Customer (VOC), competitive analysis, industry trends, market analysis (segment definition, sizing, segmentation, value proposition development, targeting, positioning, pricing), technical considerations and business objectives. Products and solutions portfolio includes hardware, software (platforms and apps), analytics and services. Defines the product strategy, including the product USP, value proposition, customer segment targeting & positioning (incl. price) to gain market share, meet customer needs and achieve Sensitech’s business objectives.
Manages and develops product and solutions and roadmaps (aligned to the strategy) across lifecycle, from conceptualization to end-of-life. Develops and manages the pipeline of products and solutions, including new products, feature upgrades and improvements to existing products and innovation projects. Developing and managing the pipeline will require working very closely with key functions across sales, engineering, marketing, digital, operations, finance, quality and professional services.
Translates product plans into specific projects with clear and compelling business cases. These business cases will include specific goals on financials (revenues and profitability growth), customer satisfaction, new product pipeline development, time-to-market and return on investment.
Prioritizes projects based on key business criteria developed and evaluated in consultation with the key business leaders.
Promotes organization-wide innovation and cooperation in the development of new products and solutions.
Voice of Customer (VOC) & Net Promoter Score (NPS) Management
Owns and manages the process of systematically collecting the Voice of Customer (VOC), leveraging inputs from sales & customer facing teams, customer engagement sessions and surveys such as NPS. Conducts customer segmentation based on relevant criteria and articulates current and future needs of each segment. Defines customer/ user personas & buyer journeys.
Integrates learnings from VOCs into product and solutions development planning. Creates strong linkage between product and solutions strategy and the customer needs. Communicates the value of the offering in customer centric terms to drive the choice of Sensitech’s offerings based on value delivered and ROI for the customers. Creates a strong process across the organization to rigorously tie customer value delivered (e.g. through ROI calculators) by our offerings.
Responsible for leading the Net Promoter Score (NPS) customer satisfaction program by closely coordinating and partnering with key related functions (especially sales and customer/ professional services). This includes managing the deployment of surveys to customer, reporting on NPS scores and customer feedback, developing insights, deploying goals and improvement targets, and manage the feedback loops to address customer inputs.
Builds product messaging architecture with inputs from sales, PMs & Marketing, Communications and other key functions. Articulates product features & benefits aligned to customer needs and value propositions. Develops product focused materials for sales & customer service (sales tools, playbooks, training), working closely with MarComms
Coordinates and facilitates the development of standard sales scripts, presentations and proposals that can be customized by the sales teams based on specific customer needs and situations. Supports the channel with training, launch collateral, persona-based content, etc
Works closely with Sales, Marketing and Communications on Product launch management, post sales engagement and sales development programs (up-sell, cross sell, promotions)
Product and Programs Management
Leads the development of detailed product development and launch plans (from concept to market launch). Provides leadership and manages a team of product managers who lead cross-functional teams to ensure achievement of critical product and solutions development and launch milestones. Provide direction to all the critical functions involved in the end-to-end activities, working closely with the leaders of the key business segments/ regions and functions.
Communicates regularly and effectively to the senior management and broader organization the product and solutions development plans, current status, key risks and mitigation plans. Escalates issues and risks proactively, and facilitates dialogue between business segments/ regions and functions to resolve issues and drive alignment.
Deploys a structured process to manage delivery of product strategy through the specific programs and projects. Establishes and maintains a rigorous project management framework that direct and controls the delivery of programs and projects. Deploys a robust communications processes and escalation mechanisms to share the progress of programs/projects across all the key stakeholders and help resolve deviations from plans.
Establishes and promotes the use of metrics to improve programs/ project delivery and effectiveness.
Manages, mentors, and motivates a team of Product Managers, Product Owners, Product Marketing, Product Training and Innovation.
Encourages a shared vision, promotes a culture of recognition, fosters a desire to learn and builds inclusion and diversity.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in analytical or technical discipline
8+ years of experience in Product Management
5+ years of experience in a B2B IoT or software company specifically in data/analytics products (Digital products portfolio)
5+ years Previous experience leading and managing a team of Product Managers
Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 25%.
Preferred skills (nice to have)
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or MBA

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
Proven track record for developing, managing and launching large-scale cloud-based software products.
Strong technical and data-analysis skills.
Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements
Global Experience (previous experience supporting developing markets highly advantageous)
