The role!

Position: Maintenance Assistant

Location: Beverly, MA

Pay rate: $20 per hour

Hours: Part-time, 15 hours weekly (Monday-Friday, preferably either 5am-8am or 4pm-7pm)

Summary & Responsibilities

The Maintenance Assistant will maintain the physical condition and safety of our Beverly Day Program. Includes cleaning and providing quick and cost-effective maintenance repairs. 

  • Performs general maintenance

  • Moves furniture with assistance as necessary

  • Replaces light bulbs

  • Cleans bathrooms, kitchens, and office areas of debris/litter

  • Cleans and sweeps floors as needed

  • When needed, assists in any way to clean home location, and if needed for special project, will assist in maintenance at other Communitas locations

  • Assists as needed to perform light plumbing tasks; unclogs drains and toilets, repairs leaky faucets, etc.

  • Paints

  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Attend agency trainings as required.

    Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance procedures

  • A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

  • Must pass company background and reference checks
