The role!
Position: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Beverly, MA
Pay rate: $20 per hour
Hours: Part-time, 15 hours weekly (Monday-Friday, preferably either 5am-8am or 4pm-7pm)
Summary & Responsibilities
The Maintenance Assistant will maintain the physical condition and safety of our Beverly Day Program. Includes cleaning and providing quick and cost-effective maintenance repairs.
Performs general maintenance
Moves furniture with assistance as necessary
Replaces light bulbs
Cleans bathrooms, kitchens, and office areas of debris/litter
Cleans and sweeps floors as needed
When needed, assists in any way to clean home location, and if needed for special project, will assist in maintenance at other Communitas locations
Assists as needed to perform light plumbing tasks; unclogs drains and toilets, repairs leaky faucets, etc.
Paints
Other related duties as assigned
Attend agency trainings as required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge and experience of maintenance procedures
A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Must pass company background and reference checks
