About the role:
Dodge Data & Analytics is searching for a Vice President Marketing who is strategy and execution-focused. This individual will have experience at high-growth B2B companies and is able to own all areas of B2B marketing including, but not limited to, product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, branding, public relations, marketing analytics, and events. A critical component of this role is collaborating closely with Enterprise and SMB sales teams to assist with meeting new sales and retention revenue goals with demand/lead generation programs.
As a member of our Executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President Marketing is responsible for the company’s core marketing strategy and shares the responsibility to drive growth.
What you’ll do:
Create and own the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for new products and features, in collaboration with key internal partners; set clear objectives and goals; research and define target audiences; develop marketing and communication strategies and measure adoption; as well as to conduct customer research and apply the resulting insights to these and other initiatives.
Drive the evolution of Dodge’s brand positioning, bringing it to life in a clear and consistent way that resonates with and motivates our target audiences. Promote the company as an innovator to the press and industry and oversee outbound customer communications across our website, digital channels, and to our existing customers.
Collaborate and lead across the organization. The Vice President Marketing will represent the Voice of the Customer within the organization, bringing insights to cross-functional stakeholders across product, design, user experience, engineering, and executive leadership.
Plan and execute a marketing strategy for the organization encompassing the following aspects;
Market intelligence & trends (customer segments, competitors & product/gap analysis)
Demand & lead generation initiatives
Content marketing programs
Social media campaigns
Corporate & product brand management
Event management & sponsorship
Continually review market conditions and trends among Dodge customer segments, competitor activities, and product capabilities.
Maintain a pulse on the Voice of the Customer, using research and data and analytics to deliver customer experiences as well as measurable business results.
Continually implement and refine Demand and Lead Generation campaigns.
Devise a Content Marketing strategy, leveraging multiple tools (including eBooks, white papers, infographics, blog posts, videos, and webinars) to engage key segments within the construction industry.
Establish a scalable content creation process, leveraging both internal and external (agency and freelance) resources.
Develop a team of Content Marketing Managers while establishing a content marketing operation.
Manage and refine Dodge’s social media presence and improve the performance of the social media channels; growth in followers, referrals, and leads generated by the channel.
Supervise SEO efforts, working with our Product and Technology teams, as well as external agencies, to leverage content in maximizing organic search performance.
Create and manage a calendar of Dodge hosted, sponsored and attendee events; webinars, conferences, and thought leadership – specifically Dodge’s Construction Forecast Outlook series of conferences.
Develop sales collateral/materials highlighting the benefits of Dodge services that resonate with target segments
Refine/innovate on Dodge’s brand strategy.
Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Lead the creation of a Knowledge Repository of common sales enablement and marketing tools, creating easy access to and common messaging among these assets.
What you’ll bring:
Leadership, listening, and influencing are required as this role includes managing a series of direct reports and working closely with other department leaders.
This role is creative, requiring strong and relatable communication skills to influence stakeholders. Reporting directly to the CEO you must be able to convey Marketing’s vision and ideas to the broader executive team as a whole.
Proven project hands-on experience running Content Marketing and related Lead Generation Campaigns.
7+ years of management experience leading and building a high-performing and collaborative Marketing team with 5+ years of hands-on experience in creating and distributing content with a track record of launching successful Marketing programs
Highly proficient in digital, marketing technology software, and various marketing-related technologies
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency using marketing automation systems and integrating those capabilities with other technologies
Salesforce CRM proficiency
Strong data analysis acumen is essential for the continual analysis of market trends and the positioning of competitors.
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Experience managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel
Must be resourceful, adaptive and creative
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field of study is desirable. Master’s Degree is a plus.
Experience working for a building product manufacturer, general contractor, construction software, construction information, or other construction/building-related company is a plus.
Work Location & Travel Requirements:
This position may be based in either of the following two Dodge Data & Analytics office locations: Bedford, MA, or
Hamilton, NJ (HQ) and may be appropriate for full or partial remote work, subject to approval.
Travel to either office location or others may be required depending on needs as they arise.
