Thermo Fisher Scientific Sr Manager, Product Management Purification in Bedford, Massachusetts
The Product Manager will demonstrate a thorough understanding of POROS Chromatography resins and their use in bioprocess and analytical applications. Knowledge of the competitive landscape, regulatory requirements for the pharmaceutical industry and internal operational processes is expected.
The product manager will provide leadership in the management of commercialized products and as the marketing representative on new product development teams. Responsibilities include maintenance of the product line, identifying business opportunities, implementing programs to drive revenue growth and support of the global sales organization.
Management of commercialized products at all life cycle phases
Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, field applications, commercial, quality and R&D to achieve product line revenue and growth targets
Design and conduct market research studies supporting new product introductions or new business opportunities
Develop and implementation of Go-To-Market strategies for new products, including elements such as marketing plans, customer facing content, field training plan and content
Develop processes to monitor and implement actions to address key metrics such as win/loss, CAS, Product vitality and price realization
Support the global sales and field applications team in situations requiring customer facing interactions and by internally expediting customer requests regarding quality or product performance
Assist global team providing product training on as needed basis or for new team members
Collaborate with FAS, Commercial, Quality and operations to address and resolve any product performance issues related to customer complaints or observations
A bachelor's degree in a life science scientific field is required. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
10 years' experience in the bioprocess industry with several years in product management or related role
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Possess the ability to effectively communicate value propositions and technical information to customers and internal audiences.
