Oracle Sr. Director, Product Marketing (Activation) in Bedford, Massachusetts
Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers.
As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place. Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. In-depth knowledge of the computer industry, database and development technology and markets. Extensive marketing analysis experience. BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.

The role of Sr. Director, Product Marketing of Oracle Data Cloud s activation solutions (including Oracle Audiences, Contextual Intelligence, and Data Enablement) will have primary or shared responsibilities for:
Driving critical market research and insights to segment the market and establish buyer insights across key segments of agencies, brands, publishers and platforms - identifying what opportunities, challenges and dynamics exist to grow and retain Activation revenue.
Developing go-to-market strategies to bring new Oracle Data Cloud Activation solutions to market through effective market launches
Developing clear, crisp, and differentiated positioning that guides messaging, content, sales enablement, and other go-to-market strategies.
Ensuring messaging, content and campaign strategies are centered around Activation customer buying needs.
Crafting storylines to communicate value, and that can be applied and contextualized for different buying scenarios.
Inspiring and contributing to thought leadership development and delivery.
Implementing and refining programs to drive the impact of marketing:
o Collaborating with the content and digital activation team to create and execute a content strategy that supports all stages of the buying journey through the channels and formats most wanted by buyers
o Collaborating with the demand-generation team to create and execute high-response campaigns
o Helping field teams penetrate their industry and market segments
o Enabling sales and partners with effective tools to drive SAL to close
o Identifying customer success stories and advocates
- Managing the performance of the Activation product marketing team, programs and collaboration with other stakeholders
To support the wide range of responsibilities encompassed within this leadership role, the candidates must possess an equally broad set of skills.
Critical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills
Ability to evaluate creative design options that will resonate with target buyers
Ability to establish and leverage KPIs to make business decisions in line with overall business objectives of the Oracle Data Cloud.
Knowledge or direct experience with the Oracle Data Cloud Audience and Contextual Intelligence solutions, or competitive offerings is a plus.
Strong project planning and management skills
Ability to build strong relationships with functions outside of product marketing across product, and GTM teams
Mentoring and resource development skills to recruit and professionally develop team members
Ability to manage upward in the organization to influence executives, as well as down
Experience & Education
Ten or more years of B2B technology product marketing experience, ideally in AdTech or Media industry.
A minimum of three - five years in product marketing management roles
Ability to provide examples of go-to-market strategies and programs for prior roles in a related field - with the corresponding impact to revenue contribution
Master of Business Administration a plus
