MITRE is currently seeking two Sr. Principal Product Marketing Leaders to work on MITRE Accelerator initiatives in 5G and Microelectronics.

MITRE Accelerator ​ Open Generation 5G Consortium (Open Generation):

MITRE Accelerator Open Generation is a 5G R&D collaborative that convenes industry leaders, innovative start-ups, academic researchers, and standards associations to accelerate advanced network technologies in the public interest. With core members like Nokia, Ericsson, Verizon, and Qualcomm and MITRE’s deep bench of experts in aviation and 5G/xG communications, Open Generation focuses on use case realization in areas vital to US 5G interest Work in Open Generation’s inaugural year has centered on Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) over 5G. That work has led to some breakthrough innovation benchmarking 5G Command and Control (C2) reliability and to the launch of the nation’s first 5G UAS aviation range. Entering its second year as a consortium, Open Generation is accelerating thought leadership, market presence, and membership activation. Emphasis on content development and placement, membership campaigns, thought leadership events, video, and podcasts is essential to leveraging the UAS over 5G work being advanced and to bringing more use case areas to focus.

Microelectronics and The Semiconductor Alliance:

Recent chip shortages have demonstrated the fragility of the semiconductors supply chain, making it apparent that America must re-invest in itself and develop an accelerated path towards autonomy in this critical industry. MITRE Accelerator has convened a cross-industry alliance of leading U.S. semiconductor companies to create The Semiconductor Alliance. The Semiconductor Alliance defines a strategic vision and implementation plan for U.S. government and industry investments in semiconductor research and development, including a proposed National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC). D riven not by bottom lines and personal interests, but by an understanding that we must meet this moment as a whole nation, The Semiconductor Alliance is a new MITRE Accelerator initiative that recognizes the work of a collective will far surpass the lengths any one company could go on its own. Emphasis on content development and placement, video, and podcasts is baseline. Creative product marketing to create a movement around with a whole of nation approach to reimagining the semiconductor supply chain is also key.

Job Responsibilities for Product Marketing Leader, Sr. Principal:

Key responsibilities will be to develop a holistic and evolving marketing plan for the MITRE Accelerator to include budget, messaging, campaigns, member promotion, thought leadership development, etc.

Success will be measured through results associated with the achievement of revenue objectives, the delivery of marketing qualified leads that convert to sales, and other meaningful key performance indicators.

The position will lead marketing for MITRE Accelerator :

  • Collaborate with ME Leadership and general manager of Open Generation to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to drive marketing qualified leads and revenue growth

  • Development of overall messaging and brand strategy for Open Generation program

  • Coordinate all ME Open Generation related communications and public relations activities and to integrate MITRE 5G and telecommunications work as appropriate

  • Prioritize and coordinate all marketing initiatives and work with Members to optimize cross-promotion

  • Work with larger MITRE Accelerator GTM team to prioritize, schedule and optimize work across all ME properties; learn and develop best practices: cross promote; and leverage shared resources efficiently, effectively, and compassionately

  • Manage or support management of all outside agencies doing work for MITRE Accelerator Open Generation

  • Develop and manage to annual marketing budget to support business objectives

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for General Manager and ME leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership style with ability to lead a team of indirect resources to drive results that has significant impact for sponsors, partners, and/or MITRE enterprise

  • Good understanding of market and key audiences in government, industry, investment community, and academia to support multiple services or complex products/ solutions.

  • Expertise in campaign management, content leadership, CRM, product management and market development required. Presentation of examples may be required during the interview process.

  • Experience in telecommunications or information systems industries required; specific experience in 5G and/or microelectronics strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent in combined education and experience)

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred

  • 10 years of related job experience with at least 3 years of supervisory

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$166,500 - $208,000 - $250,000 Annual
