Our North American Commercial Operations, as well as our Headquarters and Technology Center for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics, are based in Bedford, MA. Our Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics is based in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Job Summary

The Product Manager, Autoimmune Diagnostics (AID) will be responsible for on-market support and implementing marketing strategies for the North America AID product portfolio to include ELISA, IFA, chemiluminescence, and multi-analyte platforms. The Product Manager will focus on downstream marketing activities including the development of sales tools, product messaging, and customer facing events that are aligned with Werfen’s AID commercial marketing plan. The role requires a commitment to understanding healthcare economics and ensuring the product messaging is aligned to this aspect of the North American market. The Product Manager will also provide on-market product support by reviewing customer requests and complaints, and ensuring these needs are addressed by the appropriate department at Werfen.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in executing the commercial marketing plan for North America.

  • Develop marketing tactics to achieve instrument and reagent sales goals.

  • Train Sales Consultants and Corporate Account Directors with positioning the AID product portfolio with a focus on healthcare economics.

  • Serve as key marketing interface for AID in North America with Worldwide Marketing, Sales, Field Service, and Commercial Operations.

  • Develop, road-test, and launch new sales tools that support marketing strategies for the product lines.

  • Collect and analyze sales data to monitor market trends and effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

  • Gain understanding of competitive offerings in this marketplace and develop sales collateral/training material to successfully position the Werfen AID portfolio.

  • Understands all performance attributes and advantages of Werfen’s AID product line.

  • Performs product demonstrations and clinical presentations for customers.

  • Manages and drives internal projects with minimal supervision.

  • Participates in seminars, workshops and convention exhibit activities as requested by Management

  • Review product demand, product inquiries, and product complaints to ensure customer needs are met.

  • Prepares and coordinates marketing support programs. Contributes to planning and creation of advertising and promotional materials.

  • Keeps informed about developments in medical instrumentation/diagnostic industry as they apply to the company's future marketing plans.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical Technology, Business or related discipline, required. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

  • Minimum of three years related experience in specialized laboratory diagnostics marketing or sales is preferred.
