Oracle Head of Change Management and Communications in Bedford, Massachusetts

Responsible for providing employee communications support by providing thought-leadership, collaborative consultation and guidance, developing and implementing communications strategy and plans, writing and developing communications deliverables, and publishing content across a variety of internal channels, including internal news and blog stories, video, emails, social media and web.

Consults with internal stakeholders from the organization to clearly understand business objectives and define the communications objectives and outcomes needed to address those objectives. Acquires deep understanding of internal stakeholders' business and builds ongoing strategic relationships to proactively provide guidance and support stakeholder's communications needs and challenges. Applies design-thinking and uses data, insights and user input to inform strategies, messaging and program design. Facilitates strategic messaging engagements and workshops. Writes crisp and compelling positioning, messaging and content for a variety of media and channels, including email, articles, social media, newsletters, presentations, events, video, web, and collateral; ensures strategic message alignment and consistency across touchpoints. Manages communications plan implementation, including design and development of high-impact communications deliverables, websites, and campaigns; collaborates with internal and external partners and vendors to deliver. Analyzes effectiveness of communications efforts, improves existing processes, and researches new communication approaches. Influences and inspires innovation and learning as a recognized authority.

12 years experience in communications with emphasis in internal/employee communications, including project management, strategic client engagement, communication plan development and implementation, written and video storytelling, positioning and key message development, content organization, message flow, grammar, proofreading, and editing. Experience using web publishing and social media tools preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Highly detail-oriented. Proficiency in MS Office suite. Experience using HTML and Adobe Photoshop preferred. Preferred Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications or related experience with writing/editing emphasis.

Head of Change Management and Communications

Oracle is seeking an experienced, energetic, bold, and enthusiastic Head of Change Management and Communications to join the Application Service Excellence Organization. This role will be instrumental in helping shape and execute the critical strategies needed to transform the customer experience from a support-orientation to a success and experience orientation.

The Application Services Excellence organization is chartered with transforming Oracle customer s experiences with Oracle s SaaS, Cloud and On-Premise applications portfolio. Encompassing key disciplines like support, success, knowledge management, and customer engagement, the group is a key lever in helping customer s fall in love with Oracle one interaction at a time.

We are seeking to drive key strategic initiatives aligned with our transformation with a cohesive and comprehensive change management and communications framework. This is a strategic role who will partner with the ASE leadership team to drive consistency in all aspects of executive communications, internal and external meetings, and change management.

As the Head of Change Management and Communications for the Application Service Excellence organization, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and developing the change management and communications framework that will be rolled out across the entire organization. You must have prior experience leading change management initiatives at a large enterprise technology company. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to drive business results. You will be a team player who is eager to drive our change management strategy and learn daily, that is proactive and self-motivated and can work collaboratively with other organizations across Oracle.


  • Develop change management framework to be used across Applications Service Excellence to drive programs, projects and initiatives

  • Engage with key stakeholders across functional groups to understand employee/team dynamics, and build change management approaches relevant for specific groups

  • Execute change management activities for key strategic programs and projects

  • Develop and execute upon organization wide communications strategy, modalities, and engagement models to effectively drive change

  • Own communications cadence for internal (all hands, all managers, townhalls, etc.) and external stakeholders (cross-org socialization, engagement, etc.)

  • Develop communications vehicles to engage employees around the Applications Service Excellence vision

  • Define standards that can be followed across the organization around change management and communications


  • 12 years of experience in a communications/change management role in a large, complex organization

  • Experience is developing communication strategy, and execution plans

  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels (executive through individual contributor)

  • High-tech experience preferred

  • Experience in driving organizational transformation initiatives in large people-based functions

  • Strong executive presence, and ability to influence leadership within and external to the organization

  • Excellence in communication, across written, interactive and visual modalities

  • Ability to work across the organization in a matrixed manner - delivers even when the resources are not owned by the role
