Job Description:
The Enterprise Classified Services Department is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of IT systems in a Classified lab environment. This is a role best suited for someone who has prior experience working as a classified IT Systems Administrator. This is an on-premises position on our Bedford, MA campus. The successful candidate will have experience in:
Building and hardening Windows, Linux, Hypervisor systems, such a VMware
Patching and updating Windows and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) server and desktop operating systems.
Updating anti-virus software definitions for Windows/Linux server and workstation
User maintenance activities on both Windows and Linux operating systems
Perform general systems administration (patching, updates, user support) of:
Windows & Linux desktops and servers
Network switches.
VMware ESXi, vCenter platforms
Network Storage Systems
Maintenance of other systems/services according to project needs (SIEMs, Gitlab, Prometheus/Grafana and other monitoring tools, miscellaneous web servers, etc.,)
Basic Qualifications:
SECRET-level clearance
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Working knowledge of server and client operating systems. (Win10, Srv2016+, RHEL, Ubuntu Linux)
Fundamental understanding of lab IT architecture
Fundamental understanding of system administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques.
Fundamental understanding of operating system command-line tools.
Ability to interface with customers and provide a high level of customer service.
Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Security+ Certification / 8570 Certification – IAT Level II
Must earn certification within 6-months of hire date.
DoD Top Secret Clearance (will accept Secret)
Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (Chef, Ansible, Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.)
