Develops third party sales channel and ensures partner achieve Oracle sales targets in the General Business space.
As a Channel Sales Representative you will pull partners into Oracle business opportunities and manage third party transactions resulting from the relationship. Identify and develop channel partners committed to selling Oracle products. Facilitate joint selling between channel partners and direct sales team. Increase revenue from partner sources and market share through a leverage partnering model. Identify and develop joint "go-to-market" strategies and lead generation opportunities. Provides accurate and timely management information and revenue forecasts. May educate partners in Oracle commercial practices. Maintains an understanding of Oracle technology and articulates Oracle propositions to partners and their customers. Manage transaction contracts, business practices, and deal booking issues. Work with marketing to plan marketing events for partners.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years field sales experience to include 3 years channel sales experience. Strong sales/marketing skills including needs analysis, business justification, and closing methodologies. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Negotiating skills and ability to influence. Knowledge of Oracle field sales cycle and partner program. travel as needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.

*Job Description: * The Channel Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling Oracle cloud services and On Premise Solutions into the Public Sector, SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise Segment.
This position will be virtual and on site at ACCENTURE in the IL (Chicago) locations focused on selling to Oracle/ACCENTURE s Customers. ACCENTURE and Oracle are very excited about the opportunity ahead.
ACCENTURE is one of Oracle s largest partners and we envision significant growth together with our joint cloud initiative and other strategic solutions in software and hardware. A typical day involves speaking with many customers considering purchasing Oracle products and solutions along with creating demand with ACCENTURE s current and prospective customers, as well as overseeing the interlock of Accenture and Oracle s field Sales Leaders.
Further, the Channel Sales Specialist is held accountable to building pipeline, training and enabling the partner along with closing sales opportunities (i.e. revenue). We're looking for people who love to win, have strong business ethics and great communication skills.
This position will be located at one of Oracles major sales center and close to appropriate Accenture offices.
Revenue: Responsible for driving Oracle cloud, HW and SW revenue through ACCENTURE and their customers
Account Planning: Responsible for working with ACCENTURE s Business Development and various selling teams on account planning, go to market strategy, and facilitating partnering efforts of Oracle Direct selling team where appropriate
Enablement: Provide training and awareness around Oracle s Solutions specific to the SMB, Commercial and Public Sector.
Opportunities: Transactional focus combined with the ability to manage complex deals and ULAs
Product Knowledge: Learns the full range of Oracle technology and is able to identify how these solutions and services align to SMB, Commercial, Enterprise and Public Sector customer needs
Value Proposition: Explains technical, industry, and market facts to position Oracle as a competitive solution
Team Player: Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues, cross-functionally, to support the sales process
Leadership: Regular coaching/mentoring required
Executive Engagement: Frequent contact with manager
Close interlock with the WW Alliances teams

Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions
1-3 years software, cloud or enterprise hardware selling a plus
Must have strong understandingof working directly with partners
Strong demonstrated expertise in creating, executing on, and driving solutions
Proven ability to recognize, analyze, and take action on go to market approaches, marketing programs, joint value propositions, and business cases around strategic partnerships
Cross-functional influence, relationship building, and project management skills toward a broad constituency ranging from customers, channel partners, sales, marketing, and technical management
Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
Familiarity with a broad range of application and infrastructure software, hardware and cloud is desirable (Microsoft, AWS, Google)
