OpenCape Marketing & Sales Specialist in Barnstable, Massachusetts
OpenCape is seeking a full-time Marketing and Sales Specialist who is not only a social media expert but also has a strong flair for sales. In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in OpenCape?s growth by helping us onboard Main Street small businesses and enterprise customers. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and be a key contributor to a rapidly expanding technology company on Cape Cod. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: SALES & CUSTOMER CARE: Proactively identify and respond to potential customer inquiries through various channels, including phone calls, Zoom meetings, in-person meetings, cold calls, networking events, etc. Create proposals, presentations, and sales contracts related to PON and XPON products and services. Utilize market research and lead generation to identify potential clients, build relationships, and understand their needs. Coordinate and schedule meetings, demos, and product training sessions with clients and internal teams. Maintain and update customer databases and sales records with accuracy and attention to detail. Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries, offering detailed product information. Support sales performance tracking and generate regular sales reports. Provide regular updates and insights to management on sales activities and progress. MARKETING SUPPORT: Be part of the marketing team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns and strategies aimed at potential PON and Enterprise clients. Create and update marketing materials, including brochures, datasheets, social media campaigns, email campaigns, and case studies. Manage and update content on the company\'s website and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with PON offerings. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, track industry trends, and monitor competitor activities. Assist in the organization and coordination of promotional events, trade shows, and webinars. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Answer phones and other administrative tasks. Coordinate with internal departments such as product development, customer service, and finance to ensure seamless operations. Monitor and manage inventory levels of marketing materials and promotional items. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. EXPERIENCE: Proven experience in telecommunications sales or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. SKILLS: Understanding of technology and the impact it can have on society Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements: Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation. Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings and events. Resident and knowledge of Cape Cod and Southeastern MA and surrounding communities is required.
