The Global Strategy & Business Development, Electrification will be responsible for driving Sensata’s Global Electrification strategic marketing efforts across all of its Automotive Businesses. Responsibilities will include developing strategies, forecasting new business, and sustaining existing business programs in support of growth for Electrification. Leads and supports business plans, product lifecycle management and product positioning in the marketplace to increase sales and expand market share. Responsible for the development of the Electrification portion of the annual Strategic Plan (STINT) with inputs from Marketing, Engineering and Sales. Interfaces with all functions to develop organic and inorganic plans across existing products and new applications. Maintains relationships with customers, vendors and partners.
Collaborate with all functions to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement for new and existing products, internally and externally
Oversee the strategic marketing function, consistently identifying new opportunities within our customer base and driving growth or improvement initiatives
Identify short and long-term, budgets, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations
Understand key market indicators and metrics to provide market insight. Will need to research, forecast, and drive competitive analyses, and give frequent updates on market trends while translating them into actionable insights for the business
Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing and product strategies by segmenting, analyzing, tracking and reporting of results.
Manage conception, development, and implementation of product strategies to drive interest and sales
Work with sales team to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consistently performs
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree and 10-12 years of experience
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Drive various strategic initiatives and contribute to Sensata’s growth of electrical content and architectures
Present strategy and business plans regularly to management as well as reporting updates on results against business objectives to the leadership team and C-suite
Understand market dynamics, trends, and insights at OEMs and Tier 1’s
Complete regular insightful competitor analysis; develop and execute action plans
Participate in the evaluation process, due diligence, and integration of potential acquisition(s) or business partnering activities
In partnership with Corporate Development, identify inorganic growth opportunities for Electrification (M&A)
Landscape Analysis - conduct primary commercial diligence for new markets/white space
Pipeline Development - Develop deal thesis, drive commercial diligence work plan, and lead development of post-closing integration plans
Strategic Due Diligence
Deal Execution - Move targets through stage gate process to closure
PMI Lead post-merger integration planning after successful acquisitions
