The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning of a product portfolio and provide operational support for existing products. The role requires the ability to develop roadmaps on new and existing products that align with the company’s strategic, operational, and financial objectives.

DUTIES : Develop, initiate and lead strategic actions and support tactics to identify new business opportunities and create and support current-year business commitments and long-term business goals. Drive short-term and long-term revenue growth. Demonstrate thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders. Develop expertise in market dynamics and trends to provide the strategic vision and forecast for responsible products. Identify profit pool shifts and opportunities to capture new profit pools and assess size, growth, and profitability of these profit pools. Prioritize opportunities on multiple dimensions (e.g., size, profitability, potential growth, fit with current business, competition, legislation, technical feasibility). Build strategic, action oriented business plans to grow share in existing applications and identify paths to expand our addressable market and for key emerging and adjacent markets (including new product development, potential acquisitions, equity investments, joint-ventures, alliances, licensing relationships, or divestiture opportunities). Periodically assess the business unit portfolio to identify potential adjustments. Build and maintain product roadmaps, and translate market/customer needs into product definitions and requirements. Work across-functional teams to create detailed customer proposals using financial tools, and present business cases for senior management approval. Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management to deliver new business opportunity closures. Generate deliverables to support strategic decision making processes with respect to inorganic growth. Develop a pipeline of targeted investments. Create business plans and financial models to support potential deals. Contribute to due diligence of potential targets or partners. Defend incumbent positions against competitive entry. Define and promote product value proposition with both customers and internal stakeholders. Manage product positioning in the marketplace, including rationalizing pricing strategy based on market conditions. Lead competitive benchmarking team activities, including both commercial and technical dimensions, and integrate benchmarking data into product and margin roadmaps. Drive for product enhancements to achieve sustained differentiation. Provide demand and revenue forecast inputs, including Strategic Intent Plan, Long Range Plan (5 years), Annual Plan (1 year) and updates as required based on market dynamics and customer guidance

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 6 years of experience in design engineering, marketing, product management and sales. 3 years of experience working with sensor and subsystem applications on commercial vehicles (in engine, exhaust aftertreatment, transmission, chassis and cabin); 3 years of experience in design engineering and product management necessary to allow in depth application discussions with customer advanced engineering; 2 years of experience in depth understanding of the major suppliers of vehicles and their TIER1's within the target markets (on road truck and trailer, agriculture, construction); and 1 year of experience gained through sales function necessary to access the right channels into target customers.
