Numerator Client Development Director in Atlanta, Georgia

In the newly created position of Client Development Director, you’ll play a critical role in the survey business, combining leadership skills, business development savvy and research expertise to identify new business opportunities and present relevant, innovative solutions to address the needs of stakeholders within both existing client and prospect organizations. The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with our survey team and more broadly focused sales team to identify, develop and maintain 2-3 key accounts with annual survey revenue of $1M+ each (developed from a group of 8-10 assigned accounts), as well as prospect for and close survey projects valued at $75,000 or more. Though project and client ownership is not a facet of this role, a senior presence will be required to reinforce the decision to use Numerator, as well as to maintain and grow the relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing team to raise the profile of the rapidly growing Numerator Surveys business

  • Work with existing sales teams, survey teams and consultants (with direct client and prospect outreach where required) to identify new business opportunities and present relevant survey-based solutions

  • Focus on growing Numerator’s profile within Consumer Insights at targeted CPG companies

  • Lead the development of survey-specific account plans for key opportunity accounts

  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure a steady pipeline of new survey business, tracking activities in Salesforce and using that pipeline to forecast expected future sales

  • Lead sales pitches for new business opportunities, including collaborating with internal constituents, developing, delivering and following up on presentations

  • Write proposals for and price survey projects valued at $75,000 or more, and drive follow-up activity until the opportunity closes

  • Ensure Numerator’s solutions are presented in ways that highlight our competitive differentiation

  • Over time, develop multiple accounts (new and existing) to conduct $1M+ annually in survey revenue

  • Provide a senior survey presence in meetings, with comfort interacting with senior levels of client organizations up to the C-suite

  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Master’s degree a plus)

  • 10+ years of quantitative survey research experience, at least a portion of that time spent in a business development role and with a proven track record of success

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Ability to think strategically about client business issues and design research to address the questions at hand

  • Able to develop strong client relationships

  • Proven negotiation skills that allow Numerator Surveys to compete on more than just price

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dispersed team environment
