UX Designer Associate (Email / Microsite Design and Delivery)

Location: Mason, OH

Responsible for working with other designers and the technology teams to create and implement best in class design solutions across our product lines.This UI/UX Designer works with our in-house Marcom design and writing teams to provide support in developing and designing emails for our internal clients, as well as assisting with some microsite development.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Designs email layouts, designs conversions across devices, and supports supplementary design requirements, like photo editing and preparing comps for presentations.

  • Works with senior designers to produce style guidelines defining our products’ visual identity.

  • Creates the best design production based on project needs.

  • Designs/develops emails in SalesForce Content Builder for Outlook as well as Salesforce Marketing Cloud delivery which requires fluency in HTML and CSS technologies as well as proficiency in converting to MSG and OTF formats.

  • May also assist designers with UX development, graphic preparation and site evaluations/reviews as needed.Ensure that email templates and files comply with Anthem’s UX and Enterprise brand standards.

  • Utilize best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.

  • Ensure solutions are sound while adhering to budget, timelines and quality standards.

  • May also involve assisting with HTML to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experiences that integrate cleanly into existing systems and adhere to company design standards.

  • Other responsibilities may also include debugging and troubleshooting code to ensure deployable and functional products with attention to responsive experiences for a variety of browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experiences for a variety of platforms that our users interact.

  • Assist with microsite design and development on occasion.

Requires a BA/BS in a design discipline preferably in Graphic Design; up to 5 years of experience including 1-3 years working in a consumer facing design capacity; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Must Have

  • 2-3 years-experience in email development, design and delivery.

  • Strong experience in email design/development/testing.

  • Strong experience in HTML and CSS is essential.

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator).

  • Ability to understand, adapt, and create a UI/UX that compliments brand standards.

  • Strong delegation and interdepartmental negotiation skills.

  • Analytical thinking, proven testing methodologies and troubleshooting skills are also a must for the position.

Preferred

  • Information architecture, usability, mobile/web user interface design/development; and 2 or more years-experience in client client-side development in the consumer space is a plus.

  • SalesForce Marketing Cloud experience a big plus.

  • Waterfall and Agile workflow experience, strong emphasis with agile understanding and knowledge.

  • Responsive development practice is a plus.

  • Experience with 508 regulations.

  • Web video delivery methodologies a big plus.

  • Experience with Mailchimp and/or Constant Contact.

  • Ability to translate comps and wireframes into semantically correct web templates.

  • Experience working in an enterprise environment.
