IBM Offering Leader - IBM Agriculture in ANDOVER, Massachusetts
We are looking for an experienced Offering Leader to drive the creation of IBM’s entry into the Agriculture Industry. IBM has a rich set of capabilities across IBM Research with innovative analytic algorithms and a geospatial platform, The Weather Company with agriculture-oriented information, and Global Business Services with expertise in strategic client engagements. This new IBM Agriculture Solution will establish an offering portfolio that addresses key agriculture use cases and aims to capture a large share of the market across agriculture and related industries such as the financial industry.
The Offering Leader will be responsible for understanding the market but also client needs in the targeted industries. A frequent dialog with target buyers and users will be required to ensure that the offerings will provide the highest value to our clients. When establishing a new industry, it will be important to drive the creation of an ecosystem in the agriculture and adjacent industry. The Offering Leader will drive the go-to-market approach and will collaborate with the sales teams to ensure its effectiveness. When driving the road map, the Offering Leader will also work closely with the engineering team so that the product direction is feasible and incorporates technical innovations.
Define and size the target market (segments), target buyer profile, route to market and identify most suitable offering scope in that target market (segment)
Identify competitors and define competitive differentiators. Work with engineering to ensure that competitive differentiators are technically feasible and reflect technical innovations
Define a minimal viable product that addresses the opportunity
Develop partnership opportunities to accelerate time to market.
Develop a business plan that defines the targeted revenue
Define effective pricing of the offering to align with the target revenue
Drive the product roadmap and initial release by work with the various team, in particular design and engineering team.
Work closely with sales and drive the creation of enablement material by defining target buyers, offering, pricing, typical objections, competitive positioning.
Provide reports to senior management that tracks issues to resolution, shows progress along key financial and other performance metrics
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of experience in Agriculture
At least 5 years of experience in Offering Management with the activities described above
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
