Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of ‘Director, Product Management – Building Management Software’ in our Andover, MA, United States location.

Commercial Buildings consume 33% of world’s energy consumption & it’s where people spend most of indoor time. Buildings need a brain to intelligently manage & control many sub-systems and thousands of connected data points to help Building owners create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption and run building operations efficiently. The Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides that intelligent building management system through its EcoStruxure Building Management solutionand looking for a smart, talented and experienced Director, Product management who shares our vision of using the power of Software / Big Data / Cloud / IoT to deliver smart buildings for driving building efficiency and increasing tenant engagement and productivity.

Primary Function:

As Director of Product Management for Building Management Software, you will play a pivotal leadership role in taking our strong position in Smart Building segment to the next level by leading a team of passionate product managers, envisioning buildings of the future, defining & executing roadmap working closely with R&D;, Operational marketing and Channel partners. The person will report to VP, Product Management & will manage a team of product managers

Responsibilities

  1. Develop a clear understanding of the Smart Building market and Our Future Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Identify the technology, business model trends impacting the market and potential use cases

  • Periodically evaluate the market & the competition landscape.

  • Regular interaction with customer & channel partners to identify new growth opportunities

  • Developing future product vision, business cases & winning roadmap to enhance Schneider Electric’s market positioning

  1. Product Portfolio life-cycle management in order to maximize short-term & long-term business objectives
  • Own marketing prioritization (new features / feature gaps / integration / quality improvements) align with product marketing strategy

  • Manage the backlog in collaboration with the R&D; team, other product managers, and the operational marketing managers

  • Define and up-date the software policy including discontinuation/end of support

  1. Pricing Strategy:
  • Define overall software value based pricing strategy to maximize ROI

  • Monitors and review the reference market prices and educate operational & sales marketing teams

  1. Sales Enablement & Marketing communication:
  • Collaborate with marketing communication to drive demand creation activities & build offer awareness (Clear & Compelling communication strategy & content, thought leadership, customer case studies)

  • Provide clear competition benchmark & sales arguments to sales teams

  • Evangelize/Train sales teams on offer value proposition

  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing communication, operational marketing & sales to have high-impact product launches_ _

This job might be for you if:

  • Engineering graduate from a reputed university; preferably with MBA

  • Strong blend of business and technical savvy with a proven track record of

  • creating and delivering new products, solutions and services, while meeting/exceeding market requirements

  • 5+ years of software product management experience

  • Driven, decisive, and an unrelenting desire to challenge the status quo

  • Must have hands-on experience as a product manager, working with engineering teams and driving whole-product strategy.

  • Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills and the ability to make informed & fast decisions related to product feature design and direction

  • Exposure to IoT/Cloud business use cases is must

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Agile

  • Experience in Building Automation & Energy Efficiency is a plus

  • International work experience across multiple geographies is a plus

  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative and open to travel as needed

  • Wiling to travel: 30% _ _
