IBM Aviation Offering Management Leader for The Weather Company in ANDOVER, Massachusetts

We are hiring an Aviation Offering Management Leader. You will be leading a group that serves the needs of major airlines around the globe. TWC has a passionate user base that relies on our people and systems to plan and dispatch flights, while ensuring the safety of the passengers and crew. You will be leading, coaching, and mentoring the team that creates and maintains weather related tools for pilots and aviation dispatchers. The product and business needs are constantly evolving and expanding.
The Aviation Offering Management Leader owns strategy for the offerings within the aviation segment, determines its user value proposition, and defines the differentiated offering. You will set detailed direction and priorities across disciplines to bring offerings to market. The Offering Leader is accountable for driving financial results for offerings based on key outcome metrics, which include profitable growth of market share in target segment and revenue and profit performance vs. plan.
Sets direction for design, sales, and marketing to plan innovative go-to-market strategies.
Determines marketing investment by channel, converts technical positioning into key market messages, and indicates which specific competitors and offerings IBM’s messaging and outreach must position against.
Maintains close relationships with marketing communications and sales management and leverages superior communication skills to socialize offering differentiation by market segment and client profile/cohort.
Specifies level and type of investment in assets and campaigns across different channels including customer events, conferences, media/web/mobile advertising, and digital/social platforms (e.g., interactive demos, videos, trials).
Works with Digital to expand market reach through offer discovery, accessibility, and consumability via digital mechanisms (i.e., Universal Marketplace, social forums, inside sales).
Approves sales channel plan, sets sales enablement requirements (including certification guidelines), and determines dependencies with technical sales.

Our team combines aviation data, meteorology, and computer science to help most of the world’s major airlines manage the operations of tens of thousands of flights daily. Airlines use our solutions every day that incorporate technologies such as AI and machine learning and combine them with innovative, best-in-class meteorological data and real-time IoT data that both helps the airlines run efficiently and makes air travel safer and more comfortable.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 10 years’ product line management experience
Demonstrated ability to recruit and hire new team members
A keen understanding of the Aviation marketplace
Experience in leading and building successful teams
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- FAA Commercial Pilot's License
