Insulet Corporation Sr Product Manager in Acton, Massachusetts

The primary responsibility of this (Sr.) Product Manager position will be centered on Type 2 diabetes projects sometimes with an overlap of Type 1 diabetes. This marketing position will have a large component that is upstream marketing with a focus on managing all marketing deliverables for several upstream product development programs in the Type 2 diabetes space for all global regions (where the products will be launching). A smaller component of the position will be downstream marketing tactics and strategy for Omnipod in the Type 2 diabetes space.
By working proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders throughout every unit of the business, this (Sr.) Product Manager will have a central role in ensuring continued growth for Insulet Corporation. Additionally, this (Sr.) Product Manager will be required to take part in annual and multi-year market forecasting and planning, assessment of new market opportunities, as well as timely and effective execution against all established projects and priorities pertaining to the introduction or in-market support of any live product line or line extension.
Create and drive strategy for Type 2 and gestational diabetes for current OmniPod users and new upstream projects including U200 and U500 Omnipod programs with Eli Lilly.
Create financial models for proposed projects and get cross functional buy in.
Ensure continuous alignment around project timelines and expectations between Insulet executive staff, and key stakeholders involved in the preparation of new product lines and line extensions.
Collaborate closely with all cross functional team members including regulatory, managed care, clinical, medical education, international marketing and sales to ensure streamlined processes for all steps leading from new product development into commercialization.
Ensure timely and consistent provision of all marketing support materials for OmniPod adoption, along with general support of our international marketing team.
Continuously work to refine and institutionalize best practice processes to ensure operational efficiency in bringing products to market.
Work to help develop strategy for long term diabetes data management solutions for Insulet.
Education and Experience:
Knowledge / Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business/Engineering, MS or MBA preferred
Around 5 years of relevant product marketing experience. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent, complex and cross-functional projects required.
Upstream marketing and downstream marketing experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry needed.
Experience in diabetes, type 2 diabetes, product portfolios preferred.
Experience in managing international product portfolios preferred.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Experience working in the medical device or pharmaceutical regulatory and quality systems environment.
Upstream marketing experience thru all phases of development to successful product launch.
Ability to work in a complex and collaborative environment

Physical Requirements (if applicable):
Will be required to do 1-2 field rides per month and attend all project related tradeshows or conferences some of which take place over weekends.
International travel required.
