Geocomp is seeking an experiencedSales Managerto lead our Products division sales team. In this role you will manage a small team of highly skilled personnel to sell and help support Geocomp's state-of-the-art, fully automated geotechnical laboratory testing equipment. You will be a key point of contact for our clients and provide both pre- and post-sale intelligence. Our clientele includes government agencies, universities, research facilities and private laboratories worldwide.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global sales strategies, building and managing relationships with key accounts, and driving revenue growth across our product portfolio. The Sales Manager will work closely with Product division leadership to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and will lead a team of sales professionals to deliver results.
Drive revenue growth across our product portfolio and meet or exceed sales targets.
Develop and execute global sales strategies in collaboration with Product Division leadership.
Build and manage relationships with key accounts and partners in target markets, including resellers and end users.
Develop new business and handle direct sales in global locations without representation.
Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, markets, and customer needs.
Collaborate with Product Division leadership and R&D teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Source, develop, and maintain industry relationships and referrals.
Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to inform sales strategy and identify new growth opportunities.
Develop and implement sales training programs to ensure that the sales team has the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
Develop and manage the global sales budget, including forecasting and reporting on sales performance.
5+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in a B2B environment within industries such as civil/geotechnical engineering, geology, construction, construction materials, environmental engineering, or structural engineering .
Good understanding of operating field, lab, or general analytical devices is essential.
1-3+ years of experience in global or international sales is a plus.
Bachelor's degree (minimum) in a relevant engineering, geoscience, and/or business field. Coursework in civil and/or geotechnical engineering is a plus, but not required.
Proven track record of success in building and managing high-performing sales teams and achieving revenue growth targets.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills demonstrating a professional image.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to relate well to people, especially engineers and customers of various nationalities.
Technically savvy and able to communicate with engineers and technicians.
Strong computer skills and experience with modern business software tools (CRM, ERP, Office).
Experience working with distributors, resellers, and end users in global markets.
Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time domestically and internationally.
