Johnson Controls Proposal Development Manager in Westminster, Massachusetts
GENERAL SUMMARY :
The primary function of this position is to manage the preparation, coordination, development and organization of large proposals. Attributes for this position include the following: strong organizational/interpersonal skills; demonstrated business/technical orientation; project planning & schedule management; creative/technical writing capabilities and the ability to effectively work in a cross-functional team environment for the successful completion of high quality proposals.
Lead cross-functional proposal team through the formal process for responding to customer solicitations.
Analyze RFP/RFQ documentation and involve appropriate organizational personnel.
Develop strategy based on competitive market information to position Johnson Control’s offerings.
Manage improvement programs, which enhance proposal quality, style, and professionalism.
Support MIS initiatives to improve proposal development throughout the company.
Develop, enhance and maintain a database of written proposal modules and critical customer information.
Minimum: BS/BA degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field, 5 years experience in sales, sales engineering, or product marketing with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in proposal development. Advance degree/MBA preferred.
Demonstrated track record facilitating winning proposals
Excellent project management and leadership skills
Effective oral and written communication skills High PC literacy with all software media including electronic data transfer and graphics.
