The Rockport Group Director of Global eCommerce in West Newton, Massachusetts

  • Accountable for serving as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project lead to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives globally along with the SVP of International/Retail and Director of Ecommerce Architecture.

  • Responsible for contributing to the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the eCommerce strategy.

  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.

  • Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across the websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing.

  • Accountable for managing all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.

  • Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability working with the Director of DTC and Brand teams

  • As the content expert, provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices. Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure eCommerce principles are incorporated

  • Responsible for identifying new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking.

  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions.

  • Work with our global subsidiaries to develop and execute a global ecommerce strategy including the roll out of sites worldwide.

  • Responsible for the growth of Rockport.com through management of vendors and key performance indicators.

  • Accountable for overseeing all related the ecommerce operating budget with the SVP of International Sales and NAM Retail.

  • Responsible for the growth of the customer base via SEO, PPC, mobile, and other new plug in technologies that drive acquisition through to conversion within channels.

  • Development and implement the strategic ecommerce plan for digital marketing activity and acquisition.

  • Partner with the Director of DTC on online brand building opportunities.

  • Evaluate impact on business objectives, digital marketing plan and overall campaign activity.

  • Responsible for managing the online marketing budget/KPIs.

  • Accountable for managing marketing & testing agencies ensuring campaigns reflect promotional activity and target KPIs.

  • Responsible for leading email program managing email campaigns including planning and managing email cadence and calendar, forecasting sales performance, developing content strategy and briefs, and managing the creative review process.

  • Partner with the global markets both activating an email program and looking for best practices or business development opportunities.

  • Achieve budget targets each quarter and manage the ongoing budgeting process.

  • Partner with the SVP of International Sales/NAM Retail, Director of DTC and Director of Ecommerce Architecture to develop an omnichannel strategy that includes CRM, Loyalty, Promotional planning across bricks and mortar and online business

  • Accountable for the development of consumer segmentations

  • Accountable for Evaluating eCommerce Business Development opportunities to drive team goals.

  • Evaluate potential vendors by leading the RFP process, contract negotiations, & modeling business impact.
