Fresenius Medical Center Sr. Director, Sales, Distribution & Marketing Systems in Waltham, Massachusetts

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Directs, organizes and controls the development, testing, implementation and support of the enterprise-wide Sales, Distribution & Marketing Systems repository. Develops and oversees the Sales, Distribution & Marketing Systems Program quality execution and value realization; ensures organizational direction and strategy based upon vision of the organization’s Sales, Distribution & Marketing Systems strategy and direction.

Sales, Distribution & Marketing Focus :

  • 5 - 8 years of progressive Information Systems experience directing SAP ERP implementations

  • 3- 5 years of experience with 3PL systems

  • 3 - 5 years of experience directing Customer Service and Sales solutions preferably on a Salesforce.com /enterprise cloud platform

  • 2 – 3 years of experience with Sales and Analytics in relation to the Life Sciences industry

  • 1 – 2 years of experience with EDI processes / technologies

  • Strong understanding of contract management processes / tools

  • Experience working with various implementation methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, RAPID, or hybrid models

  • Ability to drive efficiencies and process improvements through technology enablement

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide a framework to facilitate the execution of the strategic vision of business management for Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing Business Development and Distribution.

  • Lead development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Distribution and Marketing.

  • Support All Customer Service and Technical Service Complaint tracking, telephony and automation.

  • Advise senior management on leading trends, best practices, and opportunities for Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Distribution and Marketing.

  • Provide input on program approaches and strategies including, risk management, process ownership and improvements, master data, benefits, quality assurance/design standards, scope management, entrance/exit acceptance criteria, and implementation roll-outs.

  • Direct, design and implement the Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Distribution and Marketing overall design and rollout.

  • Develop implementation roadmap in conjunction with IT Directors and business partners. Review and recommend priorities for new applications, application changes/enhancements, and new technology upgrades.

  • Develop Service Level Agreements with business, and IT counterparts, monitor, and ensure service level commitments are met. Broker collaboration between IT and business project teams.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to projects by developing and enforcing standard development criteria, testing and change management methodologies and production support and documentation policies and procedures.

  • Direct reporting and analytics design for Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Distribution and Marketing and collaborate with Business leads to best support individual and collective reporting requirements.

  • Review systems development project requests, coordinates schedules and related department activities.

  • Direct the selection, review, cost justification, design and implementation of new systems and system modifications.

  • Develop long range plans to provide value added use of current technology in support of business.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation and training of business users, and operational control and security of all local and remote users.

  • Prepare management activity and progress reports on all department systems analysis and programming activities.

  • Provide leadership and coaching to all direct reports and partners with human resources on employee matters.

  • Work with employees to develop clear and concise development plans to ensure the advancement of future leaders within FMCNA.

  • IT lead for all FDA serialization requirements.

  • IT backup for all regulatory inspections, data requests and other applicable activities

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • 10+ years’ related experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Director; or 5+ years’ experience in a senior managerial role.

  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with Sales, CRM, 3PL and EDI technologies and processes including externally hosted solutions.

  • Regulatory inspection and/or SOX audit experience.

  • Proven management and business skill with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proven applications and technical knowledge of a large-scale enterprise wide ERP systems

  • Proven leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
