Can you walk me through a typical day of a Lead Architect?

The successful candidate will have a current focus on expanding Rail and Transit Architecture Practice opportunities along with market-driven diversification including Healthcare, Department of Defense (DOD), and Adaptive Re-Use. This individual will lead multi-disciplinary, collaborative design teams with registered architects and building systems engineers and provide project team management and design/documentation leadership for a broad range of project types. Applicants must demonstrate creative problem-solving, strong organizational skills, proven project management capabilities, and a thorough technical understanding of construction documents, detailing, and constructability, including technical specifications and construction procurement. The position also requires client management, effective verbal/graphic presentation skills/experience, and moderate business development capabilities that will be further developed as an ongoing responsibility.

Could you be the Lead Architect we are looking for? * BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; or MS/MA Architecture (4-6 Year Degree). * 20 years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects beyond initial licensure, including well-developed skills in three-dimensional/spatial visualization and experience with public transportation and/or rail & transit clients * Registered Architect (RA) in MA, CT/RI registrations pluses; with license in CT and MA, NCARB certificate. * Demonstrated Building Information Modeling (BIM) [Autodesk Revit Architecture 2015] proficiency preferred with AutoCAD 2015 (or recent version) and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) required. Other preferred skills include: * Graphic presentation and effective visual/verbal communication skills are essential. * Candidate should possess a proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients and constructors. * Transit and DOT experience * Graphics/rendering software (SketchUp, Adobe, 3D Max, and Bentley MicroStation CAD, etc.) experience How do I apply?
