Raytheon Business Communications Specialist (Public Release & Campaign Execution) in Tewksbury, Massachusetts
An exciting new career opportunity with the Raytheon IDS Communications Organization: The Communications Specialist; Public release and Campaign execution will be based at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems headquarters in Tewksbury, MA , and is responsible for managing the public release/Export Import approvals for IDS campaigns assets as well as executing communications deliverables for cross-business campaigns and initiatives. The responsibilities for this role include : Primary point of contact/Liaison with DoD Public Affairs Officers Builds strategic relationships with public affair officers responsible for IDS programs (LTPO, Northcom, NavSea, NavAir, DARPA, MDA, etc.) Manages all Communications-related public release approvals for the IDS business; negotiates edits and advocates for Raytheon’s position on content Makes recommendations for process improvements in conjunction with the IDS program offices and public affair contacts. Leads education and awareness efforts across the IDS communications team on any DoD approval process changes Campaign & Initiative Execution · Execute communications deliverables of tier one communications campaigns and serves as lead on at least two tier two campaigns/initiatives. · Develops communications plans and project plans for campaigns and initiatives · Supports business communications leads by executing multi-channel communications deliverables including content development, proposal messaging, media outreach, audience analysis and reporting. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field ; MBA preferred Minimum of 8 years work experience in a communications discipline Knowledge of the DoD’s public release process Editorial experience with technical content Proven track record of developing and delivering complex multi-media projects (videos, websites, etc.) Strong negotiation/relationship building skills Ability to work in a matrixed organization Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance Desired Qualifications: Defense or high tech industry experience Experience with international communications campaigns Familiarity with Raytheon’s communications & EXIM policies 99675
