The Marketing Consultant will play a critical role in developing and executing the marketing programs and deployment strategies that build our market position in markets of strategic interest, including but not limited to; LGBTQ, Women s, Veterans and Family segments. He/she will be responsible for omni-channel programming and marketing assets that promote and distinguish relevant financial strategies and result in increased penetration of the various markets.
- Assist with build-out of LGBTQ, Women s, Veterans and Family marketing strategies,
connecting tightly with Customer Experience team and distribution partners
Develop and maintain content that resonates with each segment and sub-segment
Commission and apply consumer research to develop plans that align with consumer needs
Advocate for segment needs with product development, service and underwriting partners
Maintain relationships with consumer-facing advocates and incorporate affinity sponsorships into mix
Develop audience profiles and segments based on type, need and stage to help develop prospecting tools and techniques to penetrate markets.
Contribute to field facing training materials and support and enhance distribution channel readiness. Deliver fresh content to the training organization to elevate the confidence and knowledge level of our financial professionals operating in the market.
Foster connections with critical constituents and areas of influence: Service/Product/Legal/Compliance/New Business, Consumer XP/Marketing, Sales & Distribution partners as well as community leaders and Business Resource Groups.
Ensure appropriate timelines are met and actions completed. Make program management decisions and manage projects from start to finish, including copywriting, proofreading, editing, competitive research, compliance review, printing communication and distribution.
Prepare budget recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds.
Knowledge and understanding of financial services with keen desire to learn more
Prior relevant work in market development
Track record driving market share with LGBTQ, Women, Veteran or Family consumer market segments
Familiarity with financial services and life insurance
Experience commissioning and using consumer research and data science
Ability to build a marketing strategy that fully incorporates all channels- social, digital, etc
Familiarity with brand management and UVP development
Awareness and curiosity regarding social media and viral strategies
Experience translating needs of target segments into offers
Creative thinker, equally skilled at building and delivering marketing campaigns in various market segments
Continuous learner who is able to connect the dots and learn from at all levels in the organization
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external business partners working in collaboration to accomplish marketing objectives
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor s Degree
Provide a portfolio to demonstrate writing and presentation skills
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
