The Communication Consultant will help develop strategic communications for MassMutual s corporate units as well as for enterprise-wide initiatives, as needed. The candidate is responsible for developing internal communications strategies, presentations, talking points, and other materials of the highest caliber, and will work closely with business partners, including members of the senior leadership team, to identify communication needs and implement effective communication solutions using both traditional and emerging media tactics (e.g., written, visual, video, etc.).
Work with business partners to identify internal communication needs and develop strategies and materials to implement effective communication solutions
Serve as key internal communication contact for Corporate Business Resources and Compliance, providing counsel and ensuring consistency and quality of communications.
Support communications leads for Human Resources, Finance, Law, Investment Management and Enterprise Risk as needed.
Support key business meetings and special events as necessary
Identify and research, write and edit communications related to aligned teams to tell their story, raise understanding and awareness, highlight people, and build engagement.
Effectively collaborate with communication counterparts in Strategic Communications and Human Resources as required.
Develop clear and concise written communications for a variety of internal audiences and platforms, including the company intranet.
Associates Degree with3-5 years of experience.
Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
Compose and convey written communications reflecting appropriate messaging.
Commitment to understanding and applying communication best practices and innovative techniques as appropriate.
Ability to establish and meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United Stateswithout requiring visa sponsorship
Bachelor s Degree in communications, journalism or related field with 3-5 years of experience
Proficiency with MS Office and Sharepoint
