POSITION SUMMARY

Society 1851 is MassMutual’s top-advisor concierge program. We strive to serve as a strategic extension of our members’ practices, providing customized practice management consultation. Our commitment is to help our members become better business owners, utilizing specialized program offerings designed to grow a practice of transferable value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate within the S1851 management team to train, coach and empower Relationship Managers (RM’s) in all program offerings:

  • Business Strategy

  • Formal business planning

  • Practice Management / Organizational Development

  • Recruiting / selection process

  • Talent alignment

  • Training and onboarding

  • Marketing and Branding

  • Brand development/enhancement

  • Marketing plans and budgeting

  • Client experiences

  • Referral Strategies

  • Strategic Networking

  • Center of Influence engagement

  • Prospecting events

  • Sales Support

  • Book of Business analysis strategies

  • Identify internal and external trends, then develop tools and trainings to increase the efficiency and consistency of the delivery from each RM

  • Leverage trending data to expand the offerings of our program

  • Assess a broad range of complicated issues and apply appropriate creative solutions to meet Member needs, spanning multiple areas of the industry, company and program

  • Support key program activities that foster agent loyalty and commitment to MassMutual:

  • Program Initiatives

  • Member Fly-Ins

  • Study Groups

  • Peer-to- peer Networking

  • Travel as required, to facilitate relationship growth and expand S1851 members’ practices, through program offerings / sales opportunities

  • Partner with Program Manager to identify continuous improvement opportunities with key business partners across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years in the financial services arena, at least 3 years in MassMutual or a similar business

  • Successful at delivering presentations/messaging that influences others, including top advisors, executives and potential recruits

  • Values diversity, appreciates and learns to operate successfully within the organization culture

  • Strong organizational savviness and ability to navigate complex organizational boundaries

  • Well organized “planner” who has a reputation for delivering high quality results on time

  • Exceptional “soft skills;” routinely rewarded for being the “best of the best” when working with demanding customers

  • Expertise in quickly establishing credibility and developing strong working relationships with internal and external constituents

  • Superior communication skills; ability to interact, partner and negotiate with all levels within MassMutual

  • Skilled at managing up and across a broad organization; consistent demonstration of leadership

  • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with minimal supervision

  • High-level ability to work with financial information

  • Candidate must have the ability to work in the US without requiring sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Broker dealer and registered investment advisory experience a plus

  • Series 6 FINRA Registration preferred

  • Strong background in life insurance, holistic planning and MassMutual products
