IT Product Manager / Business Partner

Location: Southboro, MA or Austin, TX

This position will sit in the Digital Experience and Services group of Marketing IT. We’re an organization of approximately 50 developers, architects, user-interface designers, functional analysts, scrum masters and project leads responsible for managing all aspects of the customer-facing experiences. We work in a fast-paced agile environment and deliver real value to our marketing partners every day.

In this role, you will wear two primary hats:

‒ First and foremost, you will assume end-to-end IT ownership for key assets. You’ll be instrumental in working with business stakeholders and product owners to define the overall strategy, manage incoming demand, and drive the product’s direction. You’ll be the single voice of truth when it comes to the asset’s IT status, usage, value and budget.

‒ Second, you’ll be the primary business partner for the asset’s business stakeholders. You’ll work closely with them, help them with their needs both now and in the future, and assist in roadmap planning. You’re their “go-to” person.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

‒ Manages the IT relationship with the business as a trusted advisor

‒ Manages all demand management activities for the domain; maintains an in-depth awareness of where the business is going and why

‒ Assumes an IT Program Management role, as needed, for assigned assets

‒ Works with solution delivery counterparts on the Technology teams, Shared Platform teams, or DCS to deliver IT Solutions

‒ Owns the end-to-end delivery of business functionality for a program/product

‒ Drives forecasting, sizing and fiscal year budget planning/approval

‒ Drives the creation and maintenance of the overall IT program-level roadmap

‒ Owns the asset and is its subject matter expert - how it works, where information comes from (and why), all dependencies, and the supporting business processes

‒ Understands the overall program level roadmap and its alignment with other roadmaps/initiatives

‒ Works closely with Program Managers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to assist with agile planning and overall governance

‒ First point of escalation for program-related issues including alignment across teams, unplanned-for high-priority demand, risk assessments, etc.

‒ Is the single-source of truth for asset/program/product status


‒ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/MIS or Computer Science with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience

‒ IT Product Management experience – preferably for a software product

‒ Project and Program Management of substantive, cross-functional and large-scale IT or SW projects; this should include budget management

‒ Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation

‒ Comfortable handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously – with an uncanny ability to prioritize relying on sound judgment derived from experience

‒ Familiarity with agile development practices

‒ Prior development experience, particularly with web properties, a plus
