Accountable for the overall development of technical and editorial content and message portrayed across Oracle's digital channels in execution of the company's digital strategy

Develop and implement the overall strategy for content development, technical orientation and user perspective to online products, services and target audience. Oversee activities within own area to ensure achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Contributes to the line-of-business content strategy and vision. Act as a liaison with management to ensure that production of online and digital content is in support of business strategy. Direct functional resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate mix for the line-of-business or geography. Focus on best practice and continuous improvement in all business and management activities. Ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business and geography implementation choices. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs. Develop a digital center of excellence to be used as a resource by content managers

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.Technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations.

TheSenior Director of Business and Marketing Technology will lead a team oftechnical experts across the disciplines of web strategy, marketing automation,database sufficiency, internal tools, reporting and analysis, finance andfiscal planning, legal and compliance, security review, procurement andsupplier processes, and efficiencies of business operations. Part of theleadership team, the position will have the ability to lead with influence andthread teams and deliverables together to drive the marketing organization toutilize OMC product technology to its fullest potential and reach a higherlevel of maturity in becoming a performance driven organization with a moretransparent, efficient and accountable view of marketing.

Planning and Budgeting

  • In collaboration with the marketing leadership team, drive the annual marketing strategic budget planning and develop fiscal year goals across resource management and budget alignment.

  • Own accounting, accruals, revenue tracking, and budget reporting as key stakeholder to corporate finance.

  • Collaborate with marketing functions on highlighting budget opportunities for optimization.

  • Drive leadership in the budgeting implications of M&A s and related integration efforts.

  • Encourage an environment of transparency within marketing and with finance and other stakeholders about the effectiveness of marketing s stewardship of its resources.

  • Partner with finance to ensure effective budget management and forecasting, and work with team leaders to ensure support and advocacy for their teams.

  • Ensure that budget reporting is reliable, timely and enables marketing to make informed resource allocations at the global and regional levels throughout the year.

Marketing Performance Management

  • Drive and define the marketing performance management approach to measure and report on KPIs.

  • Working with the leadership team, determine the optics that support decision support up and down the marketing organization, including dashboarding, functional reporting, etc.

  • Enable marketing business management processes within and across functions at both the global and regional levels that support a nimble and data driven decision making culture using a set of reports and analytics to refine and improve results.

Marketing Technology Stack

  • Drive the roadmap for the marketing automation stack to deliver improved productivity, maturity and data management.

  • Ensure that the technology is considered with the associated business processes impacts so that appropriate technology decisions are made.

  • Partner with stakeholders to determine the modifications in existing processes or development of new, including training considerations and change management necessary when new technologies are introduced into the marketing organization.

  • Provide thought leadership for technology maturity models.

  • Manage 3rd party relationships with technology vendors and data providers.

Web Strategy Leadership

  • Work with key stakeholders to define the vision, technology integration and content strategy for all web properties.

  • Define, design and optimize consistent information architecture and user experience.

  • Translate the strategy into a dynamic roadmap that IT/UX organization/agencies will build to design meaningful digital content and experiences.

  • Partner closely with brand team to ensure content and visual alignment for web marketing to champion global user experience best practices.

  • Monitor, measure, recommend and implement web changes to support brand funnel engagement metrics and conversion goals; create success metrics for the strategy and business impact of its delivery.

  • Optimization: develop and execute an SEO/SEM strategy based on brand, and business unit objectives.

Business and Marketing Processes

  • Identify areas of business performance that can be improved through process architecture and internal tools, providing insightful recommendations and change management leadership as appropriate.

  • Have a keen focus on improvements and streamlining of workflows that make our marketing tasks predictable and repeatable and tie to success attribution.

  • Help to connect business processes, performance measurements and technologies that enable the marketing organization to improve integrated marketing execution.

  • Manage the PMO and related projects and continue to shepherd that discipline across the organization.
