Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.
As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. TheGlobal Oracle Cloud GTM product marketing team is looking forSenior Digital Product Marketing Managerto helpshape our GTM efforts around theoverallCloud Platform. This includes cross-pillar messaging, development ofpersonas, buyer-driven solutions for LOB and SMBs, online campaigns, and go tomarket efforts relative to sales enablement. This role will be mostly focusedon leading ourcustomer-orientedmarketing for the Cloud Platformincluding customer case studies,accelerating references, enabling the field for reference-selling, customermomentum releases, developing customer content i.e. videos, blogs, solutionbriefs, e-books across Cloud PaaS and IaaS. Looking for someone who works wellcollaboratively with key stakeholders across corporate marketing, PR, productdevelopment and field sales teams across multiple product groups includingAnalytics, Database, Middleware and Infrastructure. In addition we ll leveragethis role for driving business LOB content for cross-over solutions in SaaS andPaaS./
As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for the following:
Leadingthe development of Cloud GTM marketing specifications for Cloud Platform especially focusing on customer case studies and customer content
Managemarketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meetcompany objectives.
Lead buyer driven campaigns formultiple solutions across pillars includes SMB, IT and LOB personas
Monitorthe development of business plans and business results.
Managelifecycles and product positioning in the market place.
Identifycustomer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the markettrends/competitive landscape especially focused on AWS and MSFT Azure
Implementand monitor field sales plays, integrated campaigns.
Actas a technical advisor for specific product(s) including public speaking.
Initiateand foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to developnew products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or productline(s).
Ensuresuccessful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directsand ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinatemanagers. Interacts internally and externally with executive managementinvolving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy.
Building developer focused contentto help customers understand Oracle vs. competitor s offerings
Defining and creating competecontent BOM including use cases, detailed personas, key themes, customerlifecycle messaging, differentiated value propositions and ROI, fieldcommunications and sales enablement readiness in partnership with other productmarketing managers, product management and field sales teams.
Partnering with members of otherteams within the marketing org, including advertising, digital, communication,integrated marketing and product marketing teams to put compete marketing plansinto action
Experienced in leadinggo-to-market for enterprise software and emerging styles of GTM for Cloud-basedpackaged business solutions.
Understanding of Cloud PaaSand/or IaaS technologies related to one or multiple areas such as Analytics,Database, Application Development, Security, and Integration Middleware.
Understand key customer trends& use cases such as dev/test, micro services, SaaS integration, big data analytics,API Management, PaaS for SaaS
Experience working with customerreferences, case studies, and also direct customer engagement types of roles.
Experience with or knowledge ofOracle s Cloud offerings. Hands-on experience with our technology andexperience or desire to learn and go deep our competitors products andservices.
The ability to work across teams(engineering, marketing, sales and services) to ensure we create and promotethe right competitive messages through the right vehicles
Demonstrated bias for action anddriving results
At least 3 to 5 years experience in roles such as marketing or sales, evangelism, program management,etc. within the hi-tech industry
The candidate should also have:
B.A./B.S in Computer Science or Engineering(preferred), Marketing or related field
Preferably, an M.B.A (orequivalent in related work experience)
