Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, this position will work closely with the leadership of the instrument, informatics, consumables and mass spectrometry groups to establish the vision and strategic plan for Waters’ LC/MS systems (including tandem quadrupoles, Tof and QTof instruments) across the global organization.

This function will work with other members of the product marketing team on the solutions strategy, as well as all commercialization activities for LC/MS systems.

Partnership with field teams and Market Segment leaders along with the Product Owners in the product groups is expected to help drive our position as the world’s leading Specialty Measurement Company.

Solutions Strategy

  • Develop, align and prioritize Waters LC/MS systems road map in support of the goal to deliver complete, differentiated solutions

  • Lead the LC/MS Systems Marketing team, responsible for the coordination of full commercialization and market success of all new LC/MS products.

  • Manage global pricing for LC/MS systems.

  • Define LC/MS systems segmentation and positioning.

  • Develop deep understanding of competitor LC/MS Systems strategies.

LC/MS Systems Marketing

  • Develop customer insights and personas for LC/MS Systems to drive content strategy, value propositions and contribute to solutions road map.Work closely with marketing communications, market segment leaders and scientific teams on content/digital marketing strategy and value propositions.

  • Work closely with Product Owners and R&D to execute LC/MS Systems road map and to drive innovation.

  • Work closely with market segment leaders and scientific teams on LC/MS Systems road map.

  • Develop business cases to support requests for new LC/MS Systems. Rationalize and prioritize requests for new LC/MS Systems.

  • Work closely with corporate development office and market segment leaders on external business development. Identify and evaluate targets for M&A that would fill critical gaps.

  • Develop and execute strong marketing plans for LC/MS Systems

  • Work closely with field marketing and sales management to develop and execute marketing plan. Prioritize focus areas by geography.

  • Serve as the primary contact point for the field on LC/MS Systems.

  • Lead, develop & motivate a direct team of marketing professionals and influence cross-functional teams across the organization

  • Minimum BS in Technology or Business field. MBA preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience leading product marketing teams in a technology domain

  • Proven track record of implementing 'Go To Market' product strategies, and ability to execute strategy within a matrix environment

  • Ability to effectively influence at the executive level and within peer group

  • Strong leadership skills required

  • Global management experience preferred
