Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, this position will work closely with the leadership of the consumables group to establish the vision and strategic plan for Waters’ consumables products across the global organization.
This function will work with other members of the product marketing team on the solutions strategy, as well as all commercialization activities for consumables products.
Partnership with field teams and Market Segment leaders along with the Product Owners in the consumables group is expected to help drive our position as the world’s leading Specialty Measurement Company.
Develop, align and prioritize Consumables road map in support of the goal to deliver complete, differentiated solutions
Lead the Consumables team, responsible for the coordination of full commercialization and market success of all new Consumables.
Manage global pricing for Consumables.
Define Consumables segmentation and positioning.
Develop deep understanding of competitor Consumables strategies.
Develop customer insights and personas for Consumables to drive content strategy, value propositions and contribute to solutions road map.
Work closely with marketing communications, market segment leaders and scientific teams on content/digital marketing strategy and value propositions.
Work closely with Product Owners and R&D to execute Consumables road map and to drive innovation.
Work closely with market segment leaders and scientific teams on Consumables road map.
Develop business cases to support requests for new Consumables.
Rationalize and prioritize requests for new Consumables.
Work closely with corporate development office and market segment leaders on external business development. Identify and evaluate targets for M&A that would fill critical gaps.
Develop and execute strong marketing plans for Consumables
Work closely with field marketing and sales management to develop and execute marketing plan.
Prioritize focus areas by geography.
Serve as the primary contact point for the field on Consumables.
Lead, develop & motivate a direct team of marketing professionals and influence cross-functional teams across the organization
Minimum BS in Technology or Business field. MBA preferred.
6+ years of experience leading product marketing teams in a technology domain
Proven track record of implementing 'Go To Market' product strategies, and ability to execute strategy within a matrix environment
Ability to effectively influence at the executive level and within peer group
Strong leadership skills required
Global management experience preferred
