Description

Hologic is seeking a Sr. Manager, Innovation, who has primary responsibility for the initiation and development of innovation processes and ideas that align with current business strategies to drive growth and protect existing market share.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform with innovation development teams to conduct insights as well as design outputs

  • Manage and evaluate portfolio data and innovation pipeline assisting strategic decision-making and go-to-market process

  • Manage relationships with internal and external development partners to ensure alignment with program goals

  • Research, analyze, develop and suggest new concepts as well as strategies

  • Develop high-performance atmosphere

  • Perform as strategic partner to influence change and promote new processes

  • Contribute and influence strategic direction using informal and formal communication

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, represent customers internally and collaborate in varied areas on allocation across project and resource planning

Qualifications

  • Works independently and cross functionally

  • Able to influence and guide thought processes and actions to drive innovation projects to a reasonable conclusion

  • Accomplishes results through understanding of processes and procedures and being able to reduce turn-around-times by reducing

  • Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the innovation team.

  • Assist in the management of overall budget and expenditures

Education

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Instrumentation or equivalent, and 10+ years of experience

Experience

  • Demonstrated success leading teams and managing groups of people

  • Strong effective communication and presentation skills

  • Prior experience with the product development of Class III medical device instrumentation is desired.

  • Prior experience and proven success with providing fresh perspectives and challenging the status quo
