Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

This position is responsible for making sure the right product gets delivered on time with acceptable quality. As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for managing the product entire life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. The successful candidate will specify market requirements for current and future products by working closely with customers, sales, services, support and development.
- Gain understanding of the customer experience of all aspects of the product
Create and manage prioritized product backlog based on business and customer impact
Work with the global cross functional teams to define release strategy and content
Performs in an Agile environment with a demonstrated understanding of when and how to be flexible, and when and how to be firm
Work closely with Program Management to manage the product release process from definition through delivery and ongoing maintenance
Own and drive operational and hosting requirements to ensure a smooth SaaS rollout
Define and manage the beta test and early release programs
Provide demonstrations and presentations to both internal and external customers
Balance time to market and quality requirements to decide when the product is ready for release
Effective influence across technical and business teams within Oracle
Proven 5 years product management experience, preferably in cloud solutions, for enterprise level software applications
Strong technical background through hands-on experience with software development lifecycle
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done
Highly self-motivated to work on tasks independently, while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across various lines of business
Excellent organization and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Life Sciences industry specifically with data capture and data management software solutions is desirable
BS in Computer Science, or BA in Business Management with coursework in Engineering or a background in technical roles within an application software environment
- MBA or Master s degree is desirable
