Beverage Commercialization Manager
As the Beverage Commercialization Manager, you will play a key role in the team responsible for the commercialization of our Keurig Green Mountain (Keurig) portfolio of beverage brands. You will support the definition and implementation of multiple processes and practices that allow for the entire portfolio of Keurig manufactured brands to go to market in an efficient, timely and coherent manner. Your ultimate goal is to drive success with our shoppers, customers and partners by helping to drive a commercial beverage strategy that is coherent across channels and optimized to deliver supply chain efficiencies. Your work will have a wide span of influence and require flexibility in style and approach. There will be collaboration and strategic thinking to set commercial priorities and channel strategy. You will also need a strong process orientation to ensure that your detailed plan is fully communicated and flawlessly executed.
You will report to the Beverage Commercialization lead and will support multiple stakeholders including sales, brand marketing, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Away From Home, supply chain and partner teams. You will support the annual beverage commercial planning process from channel strategy all the way to executional Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development. You will be assigned a subset of channels by the function lead. For these assigned channels, you will be accountable for a range of commercialization actions from the development of channel strategy all the way down to executional KPI setting. You will work closely with your colleagues in appliance commercialization to ensure that the sales team has an integrated view of beverage and appliance priorities, programming and KPIs.
What you will do:
Support the design of our beverage channel strategy and embed it into the annual planning process. Understand and prioritize the different drivers of success by priority customer. Collaborate with category management, RGM and the sales teams to identify and prioritize the relevant activities and tactics required to succeed by channel.
Help define, in collaboration with sales and brand marketing, the annual calendar of brand activations, including a set of temporary KPIs, and ensure that the cross functional activity is in place to support.
Lead the definition of your assigned channel(s)’ perfect outlet standards, i.e. a “Picture of Success”, for our coffee brands. Collaborate with shopper insights, category management, RGM, sales and brand marketing to account for key shopper insights, portfolio priorities and customer sensitives.
Help drive the “Picture of Success” through the organization and into our executional partners to ensure that it is well understood and supported with the appropriate commercial programming.
Support the weekly beverage communication process to the sales team around upcoming activations and developments to the annual plan. Ensure that the beverage process is fully integrated with the appliance commercialization process.
Support the beverage commercialization team’s interaction with the beverage portions of the wider stage gate process. Help define and then implement the optimum process for winning internal approval and customer buy-in for the introduction and commercialization of new items.
Support the SKU End of Life process that starts from the retail shelf and works back to the supply chain. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the process is well understood by the cross functional teams involved in the process.
Support certain brands identified by the brand marketing portfolio strategy as “Distribute only” brands with no planned consumer activation.
Partner with sales, shopper marketing, RGM, shopper insights and finance to drive continuous improvement of lift levels and promotional efficiency.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years of experience, MBA and minimum 5 years of experience, in sales, sales strategy, brand marketing or other related field.
Prefer experience on a customer team for a “Fortune 500” company, or in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage or related industries.
Ability to work across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive improvement in business performance.
Ability to identify the critical areas in a complex issue and prioritize their resolution.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build stakeholder trust in your approach.
Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to lead thinking in a fast-paced and changing environment.
