The Associate Manager – Strategic Partnerships leads partnership discussions and negotiations with new and existing brand partners from business case thru deal closure and commercialization. The position requires the ability to build relationships with external partner entities and coordinate closely across internal functional stakeholder groups (e.g., Legal, Partners Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, etc.). Additionally, the position demands a keen ability to assess and evaluate deal parameters, develop creative solutions, and influence key decision makers to deliver win-win partnership deals.

Example projects include initiating new K-Cup pack brand licensing, contract manufacturing, and private label beverage partnerships, expanding existing partnerships, plus select appliance, accessory, and international partnerships. The role also supports the Partners leadership team on complex deals, including scenario analysis, financial modeling, and proposal and presentation development. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, negotiation, and analytical skills, be adept at building relationships, and excel at setting and achieving goals.

What you will do:

  • Identify and evaluate new partners, existing partner expansion opportunities, and partner retention strategies

  • Identify, establish, and maintain high profile strategic relationships

  • Develop relationships with new partners and expand existing partnerships both in the US and internationally

  • Negotiate deal terms and translate into formal contract agreements (with Legal and broader cross-functional teams)

  • Support overall partner portfolio strategy development

  • Research partnership opportunities within new business segments for growth/expansion

  • Act as primary strategic partnership point of contact for partner relationships

  • Manage and execute ad-hoc strategy projects for senior leadership

  • Analyze market trends and internal and external data to inform strategic initiatives

  • Solicit new business opportunities which align to Keurig Green Mountain’s mission, vision and values

  • Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig and the department

What you must have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in CPG or beverage industry marketing, management consulting, finance, and/or corporate development

  • Experience with contract negotiation and strong negotiation skills preferred

  • Excellent business insight, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to grow the business

  • Significant project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects in parallel

  • Excellent presentation skills, communication skills, and ability to influence

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experienced user of MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-20%
