Bring along your passion and do your life's best work.(sm) The Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on servicing Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) growth.
The BDM will identify and develop potential business opportunities and new targeted customers or groups, but do not have primary responsibility for closing sales. The BDM is responsible for achieving sales objectives through the cultivation of new and existing referral sources.
Along with skilled nursing facilities, other sources include physicians, institutions, hospitals, etc.
This position will be servicing the greater Massachusetts market area. Primary Responsibilities: Establish and cultivate strategic business relationships with key sales and market influencers, potential new customers, and related community institutions Create and present information to providers, business advocacies and potential enrollees Work closely with internal and external constituencies to translate business development concepts into specific initiatives, marketing / outreach projects, and selling activities Conduct field sales calls and provide effective territory management Deliver client referrals Assist in market strategy and planning Expert in company products and programs May also manage team of outreach workers Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience 3+ years working with senior care and elderly services programming 3+ years developing relationships with Community-Based Organizations (CBO’s), faith-based organizations, medical providers, etc.
3+ years community outreach and advocacy experience 3+ years conducting market analysis, developing sales strategies, goals and sales plans Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Travel up to 100% of time within market area Work core business hours Monday-Friday, some evenings and weekends as required Live within a commutable distance to this market area Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to prospects and/or medical office sites within a designated area Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience developing market research information and market strategies Experience managing a sales team Bilingual Previous healthcare experience Careers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
