Safety Technology Holdings Field Sales Manager - Western Region in Littleton, Massachusetts

Primary local management contact for key customers to maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships while successfully creating and driving new sales opportunities. Work in closely with other departments to realize new business, product and technology opportunities in existing aerospace, automotive, industrial and medical markets and in new market segments.

  • Pro-actively assess, clarify and validate customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging direct customer (house) accounts.

  • Provide support as needed at customer accounts covered by manufacturer’s representatives.

  • Manages and drives manufacturer’s representatives within the defined Western Region, to achieve agreed to sales expectations

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Work with HITEC and SDI Sales and Marketing personnel to ensure sales strategy is developed and implemented for large existing accounts and large targeted customers.

  • Identify and secure new customers in existing markets and in markets not presently served.

  • Increase market share at existing customers by promoting existing products and services along with capabilities related to new products and services.

  • Meet and exceed Annual Sales Budget by achieving forecasts and securing new business in Component, OEM and Catalogue Business areas for the Western Region

  • Participate in meeting and exceeding EBITDA Budget by applying appropriate prices and implementing price increases as deemed necessary.

  • Promote and disciplined use of CRM software to identify key actions and track schedule progress on customer opportunities and programs.

  • Positively impact the organization’s performance by participating with the implementation and managing of field support tools, including training programs, productivity initiatives, planning methodologies and customer communication tools.

  • Lead forecasting efforts ensuring accurate forecasts are completed on a timely basis and incorporate important customer-supplied information.

  • Assist in administration of customer surveys to measure and identify customer satisfaction improvement areas. Involvement in proposing and delivering technical and commercial solutions.

  • Monitor customer activities by completion of trip reports and closure of related follow-up items.

  • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.

  • Develops and controls expenditures of field sales related budget items.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Critical Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the HITEC’s and SDI’s primary markets and customers

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of HITEC’s and SDI’s core sensor competencies

  • Ability to set, communicate and meet appropriate goals for HITEC and SDI growth

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a technical discipline from a four-year college or university;

  • A minimum of ten years of related experience;

  • Experience in industrial or sensor field sales management in a business-to-business environment is preferred.
