Wolverine Worldwide Product Line Manager in LEXINGTON, Massachusetts
As our Product Line Manager, you'll provide seasonal direction of the Saucony Footwear collections, providing leadership and merchandising expertise while monitoring the processes through ongoing interaction with internal and external cross-functional teams. From brief to commercialization the PLM leads assortment planning expertise with a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, trend and innovation.
Be the in-house consumer expert, educating co-workers and customers on cultural drivers, consumer trends, competitive landscape and retail evolutions.
Advanced in-depth understanding of the product, process, merchandising, delivery and pricing needs of consumers, key markets, channels, competition, and market/industry trends.
Identify business opportunities, develop solutions, and communicate them to internal and external partners.
Develop a complete and compelling product line. Manage the line planning process, including models/color plan, pricing strategies and gross margin targets.
Responsible for creating insightful and impactful product and color briefs, analyzing consumer and competitive trends in the market.
Work with the stakeholders to conduct category analysis based on historical sales information and gross profitability in order to develop an optimal line plan. Establish a pricing structure along with Sales and Development that will allow the lines to meet both revenue and profitability targets.
Set clear and concise merchandising direction to achieve business revenue growth.
Plan the appropriate model/SKU level to optimize and grow productivity.
Work with the design and development counterparts and leadership to ensure all deadlines are met and products are commercialized on time.
Work closely with Planning and Sales to ensure entry/maintenance of seasonal forecast.
Present the line to team members, sales reps, international distributors, and customers of all sizes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelors Degree in Business, Design, Textiles or related area.
3-4+ years Product Line Management experience at a leading brand.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Strong public speaking skills.
Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite.
Ability to lead, motivate and inspire Designers.
Extensive product knowledge and knowledge of global markets and competitors.
Basic industry knowledge including retail and wholesale aspects.
