Shire Commercial Analytics Lead in Lexington, Massachusetts

This position is in the US IM/ONC Franchise advanced analytics to support current and future commercial objectives. The Analytics Lead will be accountable for:

• Generation, interpretation and extraction of critical insights, strategy creation, and best practices to drive and achieve organizational goals

• Provide adhoc reports for Sales and Marketing organizations

• Lead efforts to deliver new analytical tools, measurement approaches and solutions to support deeper insights

• Manage and execute KPI performance reporting and dashboards

70% of Time Analytics

Perform business analyses to deliver high quality, actionable business insights to commercial leadership

  • Subject matter expert on analytic models used to conduct analysis for Marketing/Sales promotions for ROI and opportunity assessments

  • Subject matter expert on various health care related data sets, both internal and external

  • Drive collaboration with various internal business and support stakeholders

  • Collaborate/manage external agencies or vendors when needed

15% of Time - Sales Force Effectiveness

  • Assist in creation and validation of HCP targeting when needed

  • Partner and guide SFE groups in best analytical approaches

15% of Time - Forecasting

  • Participate in the US sales forecasting process for commercial products

  • Create analysis that will support or provide inputs to the development of forecasts and scenario building

  • Knowledgeable in forecasting fundamentals

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Recommended 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • BS required.MS/MBA preferred

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required.statistical skills preferred

  • Experience of project management across a range of function, andgeography

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; Proficiency in SAS, SPSS, R a plus

20% Travel as required supporting Shire’s current & emerging footprint.
