ShoeBuy eCommerce Product Manager in Charlestown, Massachusetts

The Position

As eCommerce Product Manager, you will help to define and build enhanced digital experiences for our retail websites. You will participate in developing the strategy for shoes.com desktop and mobile properties, creating and executing product roadmaps, features and content based on customer needs, company strategy and vision. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, and excel at working cross-functionally to bring to life high quality, products and applications that deliver a world-class customer experience.

Upon coming on-board, you can expect to:

• Use data and research to determine how our customers interact with shoes.com websites and mobile properties, and use this knowledge to prioritize new functionality and features. • Be the liaison between the business and technology teams to help build product roadmaps, prioritize project initiatives, and manage support issues. • Develop detailed business requirements that can be used to create technical product specifications for each product and/or application. • Build and validate user stories and acceptance criteria and lead User Acceptance Testing to ensure requirements are delivered fully and as expected. • Expertly manage requirements and development process in JIRA, log defects, and own and groom the product backlog. • Be the primary contact for our external mobile vendor to successfully manage product roadmap, sprint planning, create JIRA ticket requirements and UAT testing activities, drive timelines and coordinate code releases for desktop and mobile platforms. • Plan and drive product launches including working with social team, customer service, executives, and other site experience team members. • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

This job might be for you if you:

• Have 3+ years of product management experience, preferably for online consumer experiences. Mobile experience a plus. • Have website production and Agile Scrum experience, and fluency with project-and-issue management tools including JIRA and Confluence • Boast strong project management skills including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrate superior verbal and written communications skills. • Be a self-starter who enjoys problem solving, analytical thinking and the ability to offer quick solutions and alternatives to various business and technical challenges. • Like to deliver results and make an impact on an organization; strongly dislike bureaucracy and politics. • Have a history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done, even as a sole contributor. • Possess proven analytical and quantitative skills (including using tools such as Excel, Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics); ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases. • Have a Bachelor’s degree.
