Job Description

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES, edX, to help propel edX growth and play an integral part in developing and executing its sales and sales operations. Responsibilities include building, leading, and managing a high-performing sales, sales operations, and business development team; representing edX’s products, vision, value proposition, and solutions to U.S. and international audiences; creating and delivering external internal and external presentations; providing thought leadership on the direction of the industry to inform edX strategy and planning; developing sales and business development strategy; designing and implementing highly scalable and effective processes and systems to measure activity and effectiveness; championing edX education experiences that would solve customer, corporate, and government learning challenges; creating and implementing OKRs and targets, both for operational effectiveness and financial results; designing incentives and compensation plans to align interests to key result targets; and meeting team and individual sales and business development goals by identifying opportunities and driving them from inception to closure.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: strong track record of building and leading high performing sales, sales operations, and business development teams and achieving goals; at least ten years’ experience, including at least five in leadership roles; desire to understand educational trends; proven ability to motivate teams to achieve clearly defined goals; high-level analytical and problem solving skills; and ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of edX and partner organizations. Experience in or understanding of a rapidly growing startup culture would be ideal.
