Amazon EFS was built in Cambridge and publicly launched in mid-2016. It’s a fully managed service that makes it easy to set up and scale shared file storage in the AWS Cloud. With a few clicks in the AWS Management Console, customers can create file systems that are secure, reliable, completely elastic, and can grow to petabyte-scale. Each file system’s files can be accessed by up to thousands of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances at high levels of throughput and with low latency. Amazon EFS is designed for a wide variety of use cases: data analytics, video rendering, genomics analysis, web serving, content management, home directories, and build environments, to name a few.

Amazon EFS is AWS’s newest storage service, and we’re just getting started! As a Senior Product Manager, you own the customer experience and you drive EFS’s growth and business results. You will:

  • Find opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers, build business cases and design features related to these opportunities

  • Drive our go-to-market approach, including pricing, marketing, and sales force engagement

  • Measure and analyze all aspects of the business

  • Identify and drive operational improvements and cost reductions

We’re looking for a tenacious self-starter with a passion for the cloud storage market and who can serve as a strong advocate for our customers. You should have excellent analytical capabilities, strong writing skills, services-based business experience, and the desire to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment. You must have a track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product experience, preferably with web / service-based business experience

  • 3+ years of product management experience

  • BA/BS required; BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics plus MBA preferred

  • Sound business judgment

  • Ability to influence and negotiate

  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities amid ambiguity

  • Ability to formulate data-driven decisions

  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills with track record of navigating complex unstructured cross-functional environments

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Passion for leadership, management, and mentoring
