Job Description

The Shell Tech Works (STW) Communications and Outreach Manager, is the primary interface with Shell CX/External Relations/Media and Real Estate and is responsible for managing local external engagements with government, non-profit, institutional, and community stakeholders, coordinating internal workshops and events, and coordinating messaging among Shell Tech Works (STW) programs and portfolios.

  • In cooperation with Shell CX/External Relations/Media and line management, coordinate external engagements with press, government, non-profit, institutional, educational, and community stakeholders.

  • Coordinate messages on STW programs to provide concise and coordinated messaging across programs.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to develop consistent and effective communication materials for a variety of stakeholders.

  • Assist Shell management with communicating STW's unique value and ways of working, both internally and externally. Manage STW's community engagement activities, including sponsoring and participating in local community organizations and events.

  • Coordinate internal meetings, events and VIP visits.

  • Serve as a liaison with Shell Real Estate/STW OPM and building management for STW's main office and for any satellite offices/workshops as appropriate

  • Assist with all space planning and coordination to accommodate constant growth and change, internal move planning and execution

  • Maintain the office environment in partnership with the Operations Team, responding to all relevant office related issues and requests raised by staff

  • Responsible for ensuring a healthy, safe, secure and environmentally conscious work environment is maintained at all times and by all staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of Ten (10+) years of communications and community engagement experience and 5 years of administrative management experience.

  • Experience supervising multiple administrative employees

  • Experience supporting a highly technical workforce is a strong plus

  • Ability and drive to deliver on time, while working in a semi-autonomous environment

  • Ability to create and communicate an accurate schedule and budget

  • Willingness to learn to work with the tools and solutions selected by the team

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

  • Ability to work effectively and build relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
