The Web Publisher at Akamai is charged with overseeing, approving, and creating content for Akamai and recently acquired SOASTA Digital Properties. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining web content, interactive tools, and online experiences that build the Akamai brand and generate new business opportunities. As a Senior Web Content Publisher, you will be responsible for:
Creating develop and manage content for the Akamai web properties utilizing the web content management system.
Coordinating web projects for Akamai.com, the Akamai Intranet, and microsites.
Act as an evangelist attending user groups, presenting at conferences, representing our product in online communities, webinars, interviews, Public Relations interacting with experts, demonstrating the product at peer events and other activities that aim to educate our customers about the technical benefits of our product
Maintaining a consistent tone and branding throughout all web properties.
Working with the global marketing team, build and maintain a master content calendar for corporate website updates.
Copyediting and proofreading all web content.
Collaborating with Marketing, Design, and Web Development teams to schedule web content updates
Keeping current with emerging web technologies and be always willing to add to existing skill set.

He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining web content, interactive tools, and online experiences that build the Akamai brand and generate new business opportunities.
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent or
3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree or
8 years Relevant experience - Web Performance
2+ years of HTML and CSS.
5years’ experience managing content and production for digital and websites.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Experience with website content management tools, preferably, Wordpress, SDL Tridion, or another component based platform
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Familiar with search engine optimization techniques and best practices.
A team player, with the ability to excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
Proactive and solutions oriented, willing to take ownership of projects and seem them through to completion
