The position assists the Production Supervisor in administering concentration technical theater policies, while providing TDM courses, concentration productions, and student thesis productions with technical support.Responsibilities include:Maintaining a safe environment for artists, staff, students, visitors, and audiences by employing current health and safety standardsAssisting with the technical design, construction, installation and implementation of production elementsSupporting visiting artists during production-related activities including, but not limited to, production meetings, technical rehearsals, builds, load-ins, strikes, guest lectures, conferences, and special events.Providing training to students in accordance with TDM Health and Safety Training policies/proceduresSupporting technical rehearsals with oversight and supervisionEnsuring proper maintenance of all TDM facilities and equipment to industry standardsHelping to manage inventory records and purchasing requestsSupporting classroom technology needsParticipates in capital improvements, including research and implementationPerforms other functions as required in the support of theater, dance, and media-based activities on campusSchool/Unit:Faculty of Arts and Sciences EEO Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by law.
